Howenstine draws an ejection and assists Altuve on a goal from 7m middle

Fratto blocks Rickert's 7m attempt

Rickert with a steal but shoots over the goal on the counterattack attempt

Alvarado rocks the crossbar, which leads to a long rebound and Rickert finds Altuve open for NC's second goal in the final minute of the first quarter

Barth draws ejection but the Wolfpack's possession comes to nothing

After an ejection, Neal Hosper recovers a rebound and scores from the left post to give NC a 3-0 lead

Alvarado hits the post in the final two minutes

Fratto denies Herron's shot from the left side

Bouschlicher sneaks one through the defense and the goalie to get Ignatius on the board in the final minute of the half

Herron draws an ejection and Rickert scores. Nice response for Central. 4-1 with 0:40 left in the first half

Howenstine coverts a penalty shot at the start of the half, 5-1

Bouschlicher grabs a loose ball and slots into the right side of the cage from 5m, 5-2

Rickert's 5m backhand skips into the right corner and Central goes ahead 6-2

Juarez responds from 4m and the lead is sliced to 6-3

Maloney has a chance from 5m but his shot is blocked by Altuve

Fratto passes ahead to Alvarado who beats Stablein on the break to make the score 6-4 late in the third period

Alvarado gets open AGAIN on a breakaway but Stablein makes one...no, TWO straight saves and Central calls a timeout

That would have cut the lead to one and momentum would have clearly been with the Wolfpack. Instead, Central should breathe a sigh of relief after those saves

Herron earns a penalty shot; Rickert skips a shot in to make it 7-4

Juarez loses his cap at the same time as his shot spins into the left corner in the dying seconds of the period. Big goal there.

Fratto blocks Altuve's shot in the final seconds of the period
