FACTS & STATS: Site: Stevenson High School -- Lincolnshire, Illinois. 2005 Series Record: The teams have not met in 2005.

GAME NOTES: Stevenson cruised in their sectional, knocking off Prospect/Wheeling 15-7 to get to state...Bukofzer could very well be the most versatile player in the state, as she is hard to stop offensively and can also shut down the opponents best scorer, often times in the same game...Jesse Shopiro and Sam Gibson are smart players who help run the offense and play well on defense...Rachel Cliburn and Kiersten Kranberg could both see time in goal...Katie Michelau adds speed to an already strong lineup, and she can finish and score on the powerplay as well as play tough defense...Sarah Boedecker has a strong outside shot and a tough defender...Aubrey Wanland was the second leading scorer for the Patriots with 41 goals in 2005, and she is a threat to score when Bukofzer does not...Amy Michelau comes off the bench and is a talented player with speed and a good shot.

The Vikings got past Barrington 9-5 after the two teams split their regular season game...they are led by Kaitlin Kulick, who can score from the set position or on the counterattack...Indre Lauritis has speed and a good shot and can score quickly...Amy Bochenko and Jenelle Huddleston play well on both ends of the pool and can also contribute in the scoring column...Elle Olszewski is a talented goalie who gets good position in the net and can keep many games close...Lydia Daniels, Anna Finis, Jennifer McConnell, and Anastasia Kotsakis play valuable minutes and give the bench some much needed depth.

Bukofzer should stand out on the offensive end early in this game, while the rest of the Patriots should be able to put the clamps down on the defensive side.  Kulick and Olszewski will need to have huge games if Fremd is to stun the Patriots, but the more likely outcome is that Stevenson will advance to the Final Four.
