FACTS & STATS: Site: Stevenson High School -- Lincolnshire, Illinois. 2005 Series Record: Fenwick leads, 2-0.

GAME NOTES: The Friars have yet to lose this season, and most recently defeated Loyola 19-6 two weeks ago at their conference tournament...Stopping Farren Rixter would be a good place for any team to start, but she has been practically unstoppable all season long on the offensive end...Danielle Buglio has had a strong senior season on the defensive end and can shut most opponents' best offensive players down...Alison Pavlik is very versatile, has a great outside shot, passes well, and is hard to keep track of on the counterattack...Keely Baldwin does just about everything well for the Friars as as she can score, play defense, and create a ton of opportunities for the rest of her team...Sophomore goalie Laurel McCarthy has stepped up and plays smart in goal and can be a highly effective passer when necessary...Christina Romano has scored 34 goals and is deadly on the counterattack with speed and a great shot...Erin Leary and Kaitlin Kysiak could see some valuable playing time, while the bench is also solid with Meghan Barron, Trisha Osmolak, Maggie Cahill, Katelyn Finn, and Moira Preston.

Loyola has improved drastically in the final few weeks of the season, as they beat St Viator twice in overtime and knocked off Evanston by one goal to advance to state. Colleen Shaw leads the way for the Ramblers, as she scored 76 goals during the season. Kristina Pilolli can also do damage on the offensive end, as the senior co-captain has scored 53 goals in 2005...Courtney Muntean has continued to improve in goal in her junior season and plays well when it matters, as evidenced by her 3-1 record in overtime games...Jackie Sershon has improved her game as a sophomore, while co-captain Allison Samluck is hoping that her team can get a first-round win in her senior season...Emily Harig, Sam Shehan, Megan Douaire, and Meghan Dembski all contribute on both ends for the Ramblers and play valuable minutes...

Fenwick had no trouble beating the Ramblers two weeks ago at the MCAC Championships, and they will be looking for the same result here. The key for Loyola is to find a way to shut Rixter down, which no other team has been able to do this season.
