Live State Tournament Coverage

Lincolnshire, IL -- The best way to find out what's happening at the state water polo tournament is to attend all of the games. However, if it is to hard to travel to Stevenson, the cost is too high, or you just don't feel like going, there will be a variety of ways for you to find out about what's going on as it happens.

If you want Internet updates, you can check out the live play-by-play using our Live State Updates link. As each play unfolds, we will type in exactly what happened and load the page, giving you fast updates just seconds after it has happened.

If you would like to hear about what is transpiring, we are experimenting with audio for the tournament as well. Currently, we plan to broadcast the game as it happens, then load the audio clips either after each quarter or after each game. That would allow you to listen to the action, period by period, instead of simply reading about it. And the delay would only be about five minutes if we update it by quarter, or by forty-five minutes if we updated it by game. Either way, even if you play in the games or attend the tournament, you would still have a chance to go back and listen to the live play-by-play that night or at any other time.

Our final option would be to provide streaming audio throughout the competition. This would actually be live play-by-play audio as the game is being played, and would be similar to listening to any baseball or basketball game on the radio. If you know of how to do something like this or have experience with streaming audio, please send e-mails to illpolo@yahoo.com and let us know what the best way to go about doing this would be.

By providing these options, we hope that you will follow along with what is happening at the state water polo tournament, even if you cannot attend. We are looking forward to the best state tournament in history!
