BOYS

Alex Buck (Naperville North)

Senior Alex Buck scored 9 goals at the Latin Tournament as the Huskies went 3-0, earning wins over Waubonsie Valley, Latin, and St Ignatius. Naperville North defeated Waubonsie Valley 8-4 in the early game, as Buck scored 3 times to lead the team. The Huskies then knocked off St Ignatius 12-5, with Buck contributing 3 goals in the win. In the final game of the day, he scored 3 goals in a 14-3 win over Latin.

Earlier in the week, Buck scored 7 goals to lead the North to a 17-8 win over Lyons. The Huskies improved to 25-5 with one week remaining in the regular season.

GIRLS

Kayley Provow (Neuqua Valley)

Neuqua Valley goalie Kayley Provow led the way for the Wildcats at the Latin Tournament, as she recorded a total of 32 saves in three games, plus she added 10 steals and a goal as well. Neuqua earned a narrow 6-5 decision over Prospect in the morning game, followed by an 8-4 win over Latin and a 10-4 victory over Young.

On Thursday night, Provow scored the game-winning goal in a shootout as Neuqua Valley survived four overtimes to beat St Ignatius 12-11 on Thursday night. After Neuqua took a one goal lead after the first half of overtime, Ignatius tied the game and sent it into sudden death. Neither team could score in the next two extra sessions, leading to a shootout, which the Wildcats won 3-2. Provow also made 16 saves in the win and helped Neuqua improve to 15-9 on the season.
