All-State First Teams Recognized

 

Chris Parolin and Dan Evon of Fenwick were among the top ten players in the state in 2004. Read more about their accomplishments and the rest of the All-State First Team in the boys' team profiles. Emily Bonk, Liz Perry, and Erin Foley were also named to the All-State First Team for Fenwick, as they and the rest of the players are recognized in the girls' team profiles.

The high school coaches met for the All-State Selection Meeting two weeks ago. The teams have been selected, we waited for the official word from the selection committee before posting the final results, and the official All-State Team selections are now listed below.

Evanston's Maggie Hatcher played a major role in her team winning the Glenbrook North sectional and finishing third in state. She was chosen as our Defensive Player of the Year for her performance with the Wildkits in 2004.

All-State Banquet Concluded

 

The All-State Banquet concluded last week at The White Eagle in Niles. The All-State teams were recognized before Chris Parolin and Emily Bonk, both of Fenwick, received Player of the Year awards. Tom Nystrom of Latin and Jack Wagner of Fenwick each walked away with Coach of the Year honors for the 2004 season.

United Wins Season Opener

-

United started the club season by winning the Armada Tournament over the weekend.  The senior team beat Miami (OH) 15-6 to claim the title. Miami took second place while No Limit finished in third. Armada beat both Illinois (5th) and OC (6th) to take fourth place in the bottom bracket.
