      Week 6 Girls 
      Tournament Previews

      There are seven girls tournaments to keep an eye on this week, with a 
total of 33 Illinois teams in action. Plus, one team travels to Michigan for a 
tourney and Stevenson welcomes four teams from the the Great Lake State. Here is 
what to look for when the action kicks off at 4:30pm on Friday and rolling on 
until around 6:00pm on Saturday night: 
  
      Jenison Tournament 
      The undefeated Redhawks will look to repeat as Jenison Tournament 
      champions when they travel north to Michigan on Friday. Central went 4-0 
      last year at the event, beating Ann Arbor Pioneer for the title. They open 
      with West Ottawa on Friday night and play Zeeland on Saturday in the 
      preliminary rounds. The tournament includes top ten teams #6 Pioneer, #8 
      Jenison, and #9 East Kentwood.

      Latin Tournament 
      Latin welcomes Hinsdale Central, Hinsdale South, and Northside Prep to 
      their Chicago campus for a six-game tournament on Saturday afternoon. 
  
Format: 4 teams, 6 games,

      Stevenson Tournament 
      It will be Illinois versus Michigan this weekend in Lincolnshire, as the 
      hosts, Fenwick, Mother McAuley, and Mundelein will play crossover games 
      against #1 Okemos, #2 Huron, #4 Rockford and #10 East Grand Rapids.

      St Viator Tournament 
      The SeaLion Classic kicks off in Arlington Heights on Friday afternoon and 
      carries on well into Saturday, as Lincoln-Way Central looks to defend 
      their 2010 tournament title. To get to the final game, the Knights will 
      have to get past the hosts, Buffalo Grove, and STC North on their side of 
      the bracket. On the other side, Lockport, Palatine, Prospect, and 
      Resurrection will match up to determine the other final round 
      participants. The tourney concludes with third and first place games at 
      the end of the event. 
  
Format: 8 teams, 14 games,

      Vernon Hills Tournament 
      The Cougars play host to Conant, Hoffman, and Maine West in a six game 
      tournament on Saturday. The hosts will look for their second straight 
      tournament win after capturing the Barrington Tournament title last 
      weekend, while Conant faces the difficult task of beating Hoffman for the 
      third straight time this season after earning an 8-6 win on Tuesday.

      York Tournament 
      The Dukes will look to reclaim their title from the 2010 version of the 
      tournament, with Bremen replacing Sandburg in the field. York will play 
      Barrington and R-B in their group, while Andrew, Bremen, and Naperville 
      North will play in the other group. The event wraps up with a 1:00pm title 
      game in Elmhurst.
