Week 5 Super Ballers

BOYS

Aaron Katz/Eric Curia/Nolan Roberts (Naperville North)

The Huskies' trio combined to score 29 goals to lead the Huskies to their own tournament title on Saturday with wins over Fremd, Sandburg, and STC North. Curia had the highest total with 13 scores, while Katz scored 9 times and Roberts added 7 goals.

In a key preliminary round game, Curia and Roberts each scored 2 times as North held off #4 Sandburg 8-7. That moved the hosts into the title game, where Curia scored 6 times and Katz added 3 goals for the tournament winners.

The Huskies improved to 15-1 and are ranked #5 in the latest rankings after Week 5.

GIRLS

Kate Luedtke (Barrington)

Luedtke provided the Fillies with 12 goals in wins over Lake Forest, Libertyville, and Vernon Hills on Saturday, helping the team claim their own tournament title. She also registered 3 goals in a 15-8 win over Conant on Tuesday and registered 3 more scores in an 8-7 win over Wheeling on Thursday.

All told, Luedtke totaled 18 goals in a week where Barrington went 5-0, improved to 11-1 on the season and moved to the #14 spot in the latest rankings.
