QUARTERFINAL #2

Fenwick 11 Naperville Central 7

The defending champions return to Lincolnshire hoping to defend their crown against a young Redhawks' team that has hit their peak at the perfect time.

Fenwick has drastically improved (as expected) as the season has gone on, losing just twice in their last fifteen games (their only loss to a team from IL was a one goal defeat to St Ignatius in the Catholic League finals). They advanced to the state tournament by outlasting Oak Park 6-5 to win their own sectional.

On the flip side, Central earned their stripes after running through a difficult schedule and finally beat Naperville North 8-5 in the Neuqua Valley Sectional final after losing to the Huskies twice during the regular season.

The teams met in late April in Oak Park, with the Friars emerging with an 8-4 victory over the Redhawks.
