The Latest 'All-Sectional Team' News

As we await the release of the 2015 All-Sectional Teams, here are a few bits of information that can help once they have been announced and posted:

1) All-Sectional Teams are voted on by the coaches within each sectional. Not delving too much into the details, but coaches cannot vote for their own players but can nominate players for the other coaches at the sectional to vote on.

2) Ballots were due early on the afternoon of May 17. Once the votes are tabulated and entered into a file they are sent out to coaches and other sources.

3) The All-Sectional Teams have been sent at various times in the past, but last year's results were sent to me early on Sunday night and were entered and posted on illpolo.com soon after.

4) The results will be posted within each individual sectional page within the 2015 Sectional Center. I prefer to keep the award-winners from each sectional in the same location as the scores and recaps from the sectional playoffs.

5) If you have an issue with the results and would like to sound off on them to someone, feel free to send e-mails to illpolostaff@gmail.com but do remember that I have nothing to do with the results and that I am simply posting what is sent to me.

6) Award winners will receive a certificate at the All-State Banquet in early June. If one cannot attend, coaches are urged to pick them up and distribute them to the players.
