Week 5 Super Ballers

BOYS

George Lundgren/Jack Linden (Lyons)

Lundgren totaled 16 goals for the Lions over the weekend as they won their own tournament with wins over Loyola, Niles West and St Ignatius. Linden made 32 saves and earned all three wins, including a 16-save performance in Saturday's 13-11 victory over St Ignatius to seal the first-place trophy.

GIRLS

Genevieve Curry/Jordin Hale (Oak Park)

Curry led the Huskies on the offensive end while Hale held things down defensively as OPRF won their own tournament on Saturday after wins over Bremen, LWN and Sandburg.

Curry led all scorers at the event with 17 goals and also made 11 steals and dished out 5 assists. On the other end,

Hale blocked 31 shots, contributed 6 assists, and allowed just 3 goals per game.

Earlier in the week, Curry scored 9 goals in wins over York and Hinsdale Central while Hale totaled 20 saves and earned a shutout win over the Hornets.
