Players to Watch - Volume I

BOYS

Bradley Yendro (St Ignatius)

Yendro has quickly become a valuable offensive weapon for the Wolfpack as he scored 6 goals in the opening week of the season to help SICP start the season with a 3-2 mark.

Kent Emden (Naperville Central)

The freshman goalkeeper made his debut for the Redhawks at the Metea Valley Tournament and helped the team post a 4-0 record, recorded a shutout and allowed just 1.25 goals per game.

GIRLS

Alex Triko (Waubonsie Valley)

Triko totaled 7 goals at the Naperville North Tournament and should prove to be a valuable offensive option for an improved Warriors' squad.

Brigette Lefebvre (Stevenson)

The sophomore goaltender filled in admirably for the Patriots as they won their own tournament; the netminder made 20 saves and allowed just 4 goals per game on Saturday in wins over Lyons, Palatine and Wheeling.

Isabelle Rocco (Naperville North)

Rocco scored 9 goals in the opening week of the season as the sophomore looks to make a major impact for North in the 2016 campaign.

Maddie Cordell (Lyons)

Cordell totaled 13 goals in the opening week of the season, including an 8-goal performance at the Stevenson Tourney over the weekend.

Paulina Correa (Mother McAuley)

The Mighty Macs' freshman has made an immediate impact for her squad, as she scored 2 goals in her debut and added 3 scores in an overtime victory over Lyons.
