Semifinal #2: Naperville Central (30-4) vs Mundelein (28-6)

LINCOLNSHIRE, IL - Naperville Central and Mundelein will meet at 10:15am on Saturday morning for a chance to advance to the state title game. The Redhawks have won both contests earlier this year 17-6, but this is the most important meeting between the two teams and the Mustangs will be looking for a solid performance like they one they used to hold off New Trier 14-12 on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, the Redhawks enter the contest on a high after cruising past Homewood-Flossmoor 20-6 in the late game on Thursday night. They will be hoping for a chance to win their first state title in team history after coming close more than once in the past five years.

The key for Central will be to try and stop Pat Falconer and Will Davidson from scoring in bunches throughout the contest. For Mundelein, a key factor will be to prevent the Redhawks' top scorers Mark Menis and Ryan Stanley from getting too many scoring opportunities. The team that can accomplish the above will likely be the one that ends up playing for a state title on Saturday night.
