Semifinal #2: Naperville Central 18 Mundelein 10

LINCOLNSHIRE, IL - The Redhawks used a dominating performance on both the offensive and defensive ends of the pool to advance to the state championship game with a 18-10 victory over Mundelein on Saturday morning.

Ryan Stanley and Mark Menis each scored 7 times as Central scored the first eleven goals of the game before allowing a goal to Mundelein's Will Davidson late in the first half. The Redhawks kept the Mustangs at bay from that point on, building their advantage to 15-5 after three periods.

The Mustangs put together a late surge in the final quarter, scoring four straight goals to trim the gap to 15-9. But Menis stopped the run with two straight goals and the Redhawks held on to advance to the state championship game.

Kyle Rickert scored 2 goals and Kristian Altuve added a score in the win for Central, while Pat Falconer scored 5 goals and Davidson added 3 scores in the loss for the Mustangs.
