Signing Off On Another Great Year Of Water Polo

One last update before I sign off on an
enjoyable 2013 water polo season:
Support of the People
I want to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported the
endeavors of Illpolo.com this season. The contributions of those who report
information, make a donation, or provide kind words all help keep the site
afloat and keep me motivated to try and provide everyone involved with as
much water polo during such an exciting season.
Postseason Awards
The postseason awards such as Player of
the Year, Coach of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Most Overlooked have
been posted on the main page.
All-Star Game
The All-Star game festivities are an exciting way to end the season. This
year's event features an age group game, followed by games for the girls
and boys that made the All-State Teams in 2013. Following the games,
Gino's East provides food and drinks to parents, players, and fans and the
setting gives everyone involved one last chance to socialize and celebrate
a great season. The event gets underway at 11:00am at Stevenson High
School and is definitely recommended.
Future Stars
There are several players on the Future Stars list that show how exciting
the sport will continue to be over the next few years. There may be more
out there who performed at a high-level in 2013 but there was no evidence
of their year in school, so feel free to send in any additional
submissions for consideration. I will be looking mainly at players who
were performing at the Varsity-level all season long but have not been
identified as freshmen or sophomores.
