Week 4 Ballers

 

BOYS

Cameron Shewchuck/Trevor Prince (Loyola)

Shewchuck scored 7 goals and Prince made 30 saves to help the Ramblers finish 3-1 at the York Tournament with wins over Lyons, Mundelein, and Niles West. Shewchuck also scored 6 goals and Prince blocked 8 shots in Monday's 12-10 win over DLS.

 

Danny Farmer/Ryan Masi (Fenwick)

Farmer totaled 8 goals and Masi added 7 scores as Fenwick went 3-1 at the York Tournament with wins over Lyons, New Trier, and Mundelein.

 

Luke Stark (Fremd)

Stark totaled 16 goals at the St Patrick Tournament to help the Vikings claim a third-place finish at the event. He also tallied 6 goals in a 14-11 win over Schaumburg earlier in the week.

 

Omar El Hoffi/Kristian Kalev/Wally Kleinfeldt (Palatine)

The Pirates' trio accounted for 17 of the team's 25 goals in a 25-10 win over Schaumburg on Monday and then totaled 15 of the squad's 16 goals in a 16-10 victory over Barrington on Wednesday.

 

Steven Renko (Niles West)

Renko led the Wolves with 13 goals at the York Tourney as the team earned wins over New Trier and York over the weekend.

 

 

 

GIRLS

Angie Skittone/Carmen Rosas (Conant)

Rosas scored 11 goals and Skittone recorded 9 goals as the Cougars beat Fremd and Hoffman to improve to 4-0 in the MSL West division by the end of Week 4.

 

Becky Callen/Melissa Gartenberg (Stevenson)

Callen recorded 26 saves and Gartenberg scored 12 goals as the Patriots finished 3-1 with wins over Loyola, Lyons and Mundelein.

 

Caroline Walsh/Haley Hughes (Lyons)

Walsh and Hughes both registered 9 goals at the Fenwick Tournament to help the Lions earn wins over Mundelein and New Trier and move into the Top 10 at the end of Week 4.

 

Jordin Hale/Katie Appell (Oak Park)

Appell scored 11 goals and Hale stopped 45 shots as the Huskies went 3-0 with wins over Bremen, LWN, and Maine East to win their own event on Saturday.

 

Theresa Godlewski (Wheeling)

Godlewski totaled 32 goals in wins over Meadows, Vernon Hills and Schaumburg as the Wildcats improved to 8-3 on the season.
