Week 7 Ballers

 

BOYS

Alfonso Ochoa/Jude Krauss (Mundelein)

Krauss scored 7 goals and Ochoa made 27 saves as the Mustangs beat Conant and H-F to finish in second place at their own tournament.

 

Anthony Barsano/Joseph Gibson (St Patrick)

Barsano scored 9 goals and Gibson added 7 goals as the Shamrocks earned wins over Oak Park, Niles West, and Wheeling to win the Niles West Tournament. Gibson also slotted home 4 scores in a mid-week win over Von.

 

Brant Boczek (GBS)

Boczek notched 15 goals to help the Titans finish with a 3-1 mark at their own tournament, including wins over Hersey, Libertyville, and Prospect.

 

Jack Carroll (Hersey)

Carroll totaled 20 goals and helped the Huskies advance to the championship round of the GBS Tournament after wins over New Trier and Palatine over the weekend. He also put in 5 goals in wins over Elk Grove and Wheeling during Week 7.

 

Jake Jagodzinski/Jake Speechley (Lockport)

Jagodzinski and Speechley combined to score 20 goals as Lockport won the Brother Rice Tournament with a 4-0 record.

 

Jakobi McClellan (H-F)

McClellan made 102 saves throughout Week 6, highlighted by a 22-save performance in the Vikings' win over Andrew on Monday night.

 

Kristian Kalev (Palatine)

Kalev poured in 25 goals to lead all scorers as Palatine went 3-1 at the GBS Tournament. Kalev also recorded 7 goals in the Pirates' 15-4 win over Barrington on Wednesday.

 

Makai DeNeve-Arnam (Maine South)

DeNeve-Arnam scored 15 goals and helped the Hawks win the Neuqua Valley Tournament on Saturday.

 

Mike Babula (Maine East)

Babula recorded 14 goals to help the Blue Demons win the R-B Tournament on Saturday.

 

 

 

GIRLS

Allison Travetto (Stevenson)

Travetto led the Stevenson offense with 12 goals as the went 2-2 at their own tournament against several of the top teams from Michigan and Mother McAuley. She also added 4 goals in a win over Lake Forest during the week.

 

Bridget Hulsebosch (St Viator)

Hulsebosch totaled 13 goals and 13 steals to help St Viator excel at the GBN Tournament on Saturday. She also drew 7 ejections for the Lions.

 

Catie Wallace/Colleen Barron (Fenwick)

Wallace registered 11 goals and Barron added 10 scores to help the Friars finish 3-1 at the Stevenson Tournament.

 

Clare Bryar/Fran Williamson (Mother McAuley)

The Mighty Macs' duo scored 18 goals to help McAuley end the weekend with a 3-1 record, including an 8-7 victory over Stevenson. Williamson also scored 7 goals in McAuley's 8-7 victory over LWC on Tuesday. Bryar scored the other 2 goals in that win.

 

Kaela Codo/Faith Vandercar (Naperville Central)

Codo scored 8 times and Vandercar blocked 25 shots as the Redhawks won their own tournament with wins over Jenison, Evanston, and Sandburg. Codo also scored 3 times in a win over York, while Vandercar stopped 12 shots in wins over the Dukes and Wheeling during Week 7.

 

Lindsay Fraser (GBN)

Fraser led all scorers at the GBN Tournament with 17 goals as the Spartans went 4-0 to win their own event on Saturday.
