    Week 1 Update #6 - Friday, March 7

    Friday, March 7, 2008 10:00am

Just wanted to say thank you to those of you who have been sending in scores and updates via text, IM, email, or phone. In most cases, the site will be updated with the information sent in within seconds, which will provide those checking out the site with the most up-to-date information. Don't be afraid to send a text right after the game as it is probably the fastest way to get information nowadays.

Five tournaments get underway this evening, with four boys tourneys and one girls tourney. Overall, there are nine tournaments taking place over the weekend, so keep an eye on the site for the latest information. Neuqua Valley, St Rita, Glenbrook South, and Hoffman Estates all host boys tournaments tonight, while Naperville Central's girls' tournament also gets underway tonight. Highland Park (boys), New Trier (girls), Loyola (girls), and Northside (girls) also host Saturday-only tournaments.

Just a note for those using the site on cell phones or Blackberry-type devices...if you go to Illpolo.com and then click the banner on the top it will take you to the Illpolo Blog immediately. That will give you the latest recaps from games on each night. Otherwise, you can locate the scores via the Scoreboard link as you scroll down the page. We are working on trying to make this more accessible and getting the format so that they are as easy as possible to access from anywhere.

Finally, the ultimate goal on each night is to have every score/result posted and to have a short recap written about each game. In order to do that, we need information...even if it just the leading scorer in a game or a goalie who made a certain amount of saves, it can at least let everyone who checks the site know a little bit about each game and the top performers. Last night, we were able to write about 10 of the 13 girls' games and 7 out of 13 boys' games. Remember, if you don't see it on the site, we probably haven't received any information about the game.

PLAINFIELD, IL – I need your help! My mission is to ensure that the sport gets the proper coverage that these boys and girls deserve, starting with this web site and hopefully moving towards the newspapers. I will do everything I can to make this happen, but if I could get some assistance I would be greatly appreciative.

I don't know how long I can keep this pace up...the cost of web hosting, wireless Internet, domains, travel expenses, gas, and the time spent volunteering can be very difficult when all is said and done. To make a donation, have an advertisement placed on the site, or to become a sponsor, either click the PayPal link or read the following contact information:
