The first two weeks of the season are complete, and it gives us a chance to recognize some teams, coaches, and players for their accomplishments coming out of the gate:

Surprise team

BOYS - Lyons Township (11-0)

GIRLS - Rolling Meadows (7-2)

Most underrated team

BOYS - Lincoln-Way East (8-2)

GIRLS - Northside Prep (5-1)

2005 Boys Season

 

Brother Rice has beaten Fenwick twice so far, making them the clear #1 team for the time being.

.

Fenwick has had no problems with any team but Brother Rice, giving them claim to the #2 spot.

.

After that, the rest of the teams have been up-and-down, with the exception of undefeated Lyons Township. Here are the teams' current resumes:

Evanston has quality wins over Mundelein, LWE, Sandburg and Loyola; they have also lost to St Pats and Lyons.

.

Mundelein has a key win over rival Stevenson, winning the Lake County Invite, but they have losses to Evanston and New Trier.

.

Lyons has beaten Oak Park and Evanston; they remain undefeated after winning the Hinsdale Central Tourney.

.

Naperville Central has two wins over Waubonsie, plus wins over LWE, New Trier, Neuqua, and Sandburg. Their two losses came to Brother Rice and Oak Park.

.

St Pats has knocked off Evanston and St Rita, but they also have losses to LWE, Fenwick, and Brother Rice.

.

LWE defeated Sandburg, Oak Park and St Pats, but lost to Naperville Central and Evanston.

.

New Trier beat Stevenson, Loyola, and Mundelein; they have losses to Naperville Central and Waubonsie..

.

Sandburg beat Oak Park, but has losses to LWE, Naperville Central, Evanston, and Brother Rice.
