Shane Hughes (St Ignatius)
Hughes gave the Wolfpack plenty of reason for optimism during the regular season with a 52-goal performance, then helped St Ignatius claim a fourth-place trophy at the state tournament as he scored six goals, including two key scores in a 9-6 quarterfinal victory over Brother Rice. The future is bright for a young St Ignatius team with Hughes in the fold, and there is no doubt that he is Illpolo.com's 2013 Rookie of the Year.

Diana Fernandez/Jenny Stelnicki (St Ignatius)
The Wolfpack received a major boost in their state-title winning season from a pair of freshmen that made an immediate impact since the first week of the season. Fernandez was the team's third-leading scorer and chipped in with three key goals during the state tournament. Stelnicki filled a major void left by the graduation of Kate Murphy and played three phenomenal games at the state tournament to ensure the Wolfpack would bring home the school's first-ever state title. For those obvious reasons, Fernandez and Stelnicki end the season as Illpolo.com's 2013 Co-Rookies of the Year.
