Mother McAuley Wins Stevenson Tourney

The Mighty Macs went 3-0 on Saturday to claim the top prize at the Stevenson Tournament; McAuley's defensive performance included allowing just nine goals in three games in wins over the hosts, Hoffman, and Young. The Patriots took second place after beating Hoffman 12-1 and Young 12-3; the Dolphins got past Hoffman 6-5 in overtime for a third place finish. Below is the recap to the tourney's most epic game:

Emily Asai (3 goals) scored the game-winning goal in the second overtime period as Whitney Young emerged with a thrilling 6-5 win over Hoffman on Saturday. Nya Wilkins recorded 8 saves and 3 steals in goal and Susy Zizumbo spurred the Dolphins on the defensive end with 8 steals.
