Tournament Winner: Stevenson (4-0)

 

Championship recap

Stevenson 7 New Trier 6

Collin Kapecki scored 3 goals and Andrew Shashin netted 2 scores as the Patriots built a 7-2 halftime lead and held off New Trier 7-6 to win the Fenwick Tournament. Remy Musikantow scored 2 goals while Henry Yavitt, Mason McQuet, Danilo Scekic and Sam Yavitt also scored once in the loss.

 

3rd Place Game

Naperville Central 5 Fenwick 3

Dominic May scored 2 goals and Kent Emden made 10 saves as the Redhawks earned a 5-3 victory over Fenwick. Payton Comstock recorded 3 goals and David Francisco stopped 6 shots in the loss for the hosts.

 

5th Place Game

Naperville North 8 Lyons 5

Chris Popiolek scored 4 goals and Nick Zillier added 2 scores as the Huskies defeated Lyons 8-5.

 

 

EVANSTON TOURNAMENT

Tournament Winner: Glenbrook South (5-0)

 

Championship recap

Glenbrook South 5 Evanston 4

Brendan Chang and Tucker Nienhaus each scored 2 goals as the Titans edged Evanston 5-4 and finished the event with a perfect 5-0 record. The one goal victory over the hosts proved to be the decisive match as the Wildkits finished the event with a 4-1 record.

 

 

MAINE WEST TOURNAMENT
Tournament Winner: Hersey (3-0)

 

Championship recap

Hersey 10 Lake Forest 7

Brian Prior and RJ Quinn each tallied 3 scores to help lift the Huskies over Lake Forest 10-7 as Hersey won the Maine West Tournament.

 

 

MUNDELEIN TOURNAMENT

Tournament Winner: Lindbergh (4-0)

 

Championship recap

Lindbergh 15 Niles West 5

The Flyers claimed a 15-5 victory over Niles West to clinch the Mundelein Tournament title.

 

3rd Place Game

Libertyville 9 Mundelein 5

Brandon Kavanaugh and Nick Oleinik both scored 2 goals in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

 

SCHAUMBURG TOURNAMENT

Tournament Winner: McHenry (4-0)

 

Championship recap

McHenry 10 Lincoln-Way West 9

Michael Matusek scored 4 goals and Adam Starus made 8 saves as the Warriors edged LWW 10-9 to win the Schaumburg Tournament. Cody Torres registered 4 scores in the loss for West.

 

3rd Place Game

Whitney Young 11 Schaumburg 6

Dan Rusca scored 6 goals and Arturo Magano notched 3 scores as the Dolphins beat Schaumburg 11-6. Matthew Soltau led the Saxons' offense with 4 scores in the loss.

 


 

 

 

GLENBROOK SOUTH TOURNAMENT

Hersey 10 Glenbrook South 5

Andie Dougherty registered 4 scores, Katie Lindgren and Madison Burkhalter both scored 3 times and Emily VanGrinsven made 6 saves as the Huskies defeated Glenbrook South 10-5 to clinch the event's title. Dougherty and Burkhalter both scored 2 goals and VanGrinsven stopped 10 shots as the Huskies defeated Elk Grove 7-3 on Friday night while Lindgren recorded 5 goals and Karolina Niemiec scored 2 times as the Huskies earned a 10-3 win over Palatine earlier on Saturday.

 

 

JONES-PAYTON TOURNAMENT

Tournament Winner: Loyola (3-0)

Loyola 10 Jones-Payton 3

The Ramblers defeated the hosts 10-3 to claim the event's title on Saturday afternoon in Chicago. Loyola also beat Julian and STC East en route to the title.

 

 

MORTON TOURNAMENT

Tournament Winner: Morton (3-0)

Morton 13 Argo 8

Jenny Ascencion totaled 7 goals while Andrea Naranjo and Jasmin Guzman each scored 2 goals as the Mustangs opened their own event with a 13-8 victory over Argo. The Mustangs went 3-0 at their own event to claim the title.

 

 

NAPERVILLE CENTRAL TOURNAMENT

Tournament Winner: Naperville Central (4-0)

 

Championship recap

Naperville Central 12 Mother McAuley 5

Emily Westlove poured in 7 goals and Sara Campbell made 9 saves as the Redhawks defeated Mother McAuley 12-5 to win their own event on Saturday afternoon. Rylee Brower registered 2 scores while Ann Marie Gunn, Charlotte Albright and Emily Rodgers each added one goal for the winners. Paulina Correa scored 2 times while Becky Schofield, Jill Mueller and Kate Fischer each added one score for the Mighty Macs, who ended the event in second place with an impressive 3-1 record.

 

3rd place game

St Ignatius 13 Mundelein 6

Stephania Lopez scored 4 goals, Emma Dolan tallied 3 scores and both Danika Chavez and Georgia Goldrick scored 2 times in the Wolfpack's 13-6 win over Mundelein in the event's third-place game. Abbie Lukas netted 3 goals while Amanda Garcia, Julie Whelan and Ella Krauss each scored once in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

5th place game

York 10 Sandburg 6

Sydney Hutchinson recorded 5 goals while Marissa Logan and Moleigh Waldherr each scored 2 times in York's 10-6 win over Sandburg. Tara Maher and Vaia Makris both scored 2 goals in the losing effort.

 

7th place game

Homewood-Flossmoor 10 Fremd 8

Sam Klupchak scored 4 goals and Brooke Pair notched 3 scores as the Vikings topped Fremd 10-8 in the seventh-place game of the event. Emily Kini totaled 5 goals and Paulina Pappas scored 2 times in the loss for the Vikings.

 

 

NAPERVILLE NORTH TOURNAMENT

Tournament Winner: Naperville North (3-0)

 

Championship recap

Naperville North 10 Fenwick 9

Taylor Wessel scored 3 times and both Ali Horn and Isabelle Rocco notched 2 scores in the Huskies' 10-9 win over Fenwick. North also secured wins over LWC and Neuqua Valley on Friday night to win the event. Millie Sheean scored 5 goals and Kelly Frumkin scored 3 times in the losing effort as the Friars finished the day with a 2-1 record.

 

 

STC NORTH TOURNAMENT

Tournament Winner: STC North (3-0)

 

Championship recap

STC North 10 Maine West 5

Sarah Gibson scored 6 goals, Hannah Turner netted 3 scores and Claire Rich made 9 saves as the North Stars topped Maine West 10-5 to win their own tournament. The hosts also defeated Andrew and BG on Saturday.

 

 

WHITNEY YOUNG TOURNAMENT

Tournament Winner: Lyons (3-0)

Lyons 11 Waubonsie Valley 2

Kaysie Stuba notched 4 scores and Franny Bailey and Victoria Guevara each netted 2 goals as the Lions defeated Waubonsie Valley 11-2 to win the Whitney Young Tournament. Annika Moore added 3 assists and a goal while Allie Bradbury and Grace Wantuck combined to stop 7 shots in the win.

 

3rd place game

Evanston 8 Lincoln-Way East 7

Emma Stein tallied 3 scores and Giselle Figueroa scored 2 times to help the Wildkits get past LWE 8-7.

 

5th place game

Oak Park 14 Whitney Young 9

Ellie Kennedy-Wood and Nell Behr both scored 5 goals and Julia Thomason netted 2 scores as the Huskies beat the hosts 14-9 in the event's fifth-place game.
