Mundelein 12 Niles West 12

#18 Niles West and #20 Mundelein finished in a 12-12 draw in the opening game of the York Tournament on Friday afternoon. Nick Oleinik tallied 6 scores and Hunter Magee netted 3 scores for the Mustangs while Alibjon Purelko scored 4 times for the Wolves.

 

Lyons 7 York 6

Ben Eszias, Frank McCarter and Victor Perez each scored 2 goals and Armin Korsos scored once as the #4 Lions earned a 7-6 comeback win over #8 York. Isaac Marlott scored 4 goals and Alex Marlott scored 3 times in the loss for the hosts.

 

Loyola 8 Mundelein 7

Cole Morgan scored 3 times and John Merucci scored 2 goals as the #13 Ramblers held off #20 Mundelein 8-7. Nick Oleinik scored 4 goals and Hunter Magee put in 2 scores in the losing effort.

 

New Trier 15 St Ignatius 6

Henry Yavitt, Mason McQuet and Patrick Drake each scored 4 goals and Danilo Scekic scored 3 times in the Trevians' 15-6 win over St Ignatius.

 

Fenwick 9 York 2

Kyle Poland, Ivan Soto and Matt Hoban each netted 3 scores to help the Friars beat York 9-2.

 

Loyola 8 Niles West 5

John Merucci and Zach Holocek each scored 3 goals in the Ramblers' 8-5 win over Niles West.

 

Lyons 11 Fenwick 5

Armin Korsos netted 4 goals and Victor Perez scored 3 times in the Lions' 11-5 victory over Fenwick.

 

SLUH 14 St Ignatius 5

Joe Jellinek scored 5 goals and John Burke added 4 scores as the Jr Billikens defeated St Ignatius 14-5. Andreas Christy tallied 3 scores in the loss for the Wolfpack.

 

New Trier 9 SLUH 8

Henry Yavitt registered 4 scores and both Mason McQuet and Sam Yavitt scored 2 times as the Trevians fended off the top-ranked team from Missouri 9-8. Danilo Scekic also added a key goal for the winners. Joe Jellinek recorded 6 goals in the loss for SLUH.

 

York 9 Niles West 8

Alex Marlott poured in 7 goals to help lead the Dukes past Niles West 9-8. Nik Mikluyhk also recorded 2 goals for the winners. Freddie Oribello, Jacob Bobiles, Nick Greiner and Sam Paloma each scored 2 times in the loss for the Wolves.

 

SLUH 9 Fenwick 7

Joe Jellinek scored 3 goals as SLUH defeated Fenwick 9-7. Payton Comstock scored 3 goals and Kyle Poland put in 2 scores in the loss for the Friars.

Henry Yavitt recorded 5 goals and Mason McQuet tallied 3 scores in the Trevians' 12-4 win over Lyons. Danilo Scekic also scored 2 times in the win. Ben Ezsais scored 2 goals in the loss for the Lions.

Ivan Soto and Payton Comstock both scored 3 goals in Fenwick's 17-4 win over Mundelein.
