Andrew Shashin scored 5 goals, Dan Maleski netted 4 scores and Charlie Day stopped 5 shots as the Patriots defeated Fenwick 13-4. Collin Kapecki and Eric Osuch each scored 2 goals as well for the victors. Conor Hendzel tallied 2 scores and both Kyle Poland and Matt Hoban each scored once for the Friars.

 

Fenwick 7 SLUH 6

Noah Groll scored the game-winning goal in the final minute of Fenwick's thrilling 7-6 win over SLUH. Ivan Soto scored 3 goals, Matt Hoban added 2 scores and Kyle Poland also scored once for the winners.

 

Stevenson 12 SLUH 8

Collin Kapecki and Eric Osuch each scored 4 goals as the Patriots took an early 6-1 lead and knocked off SLUH 12-8 on Saturday night to win the DeSmet Tournament. Dan Maleski added 2 goals while Andrew Shashin and Justin Ginsberg each scored once for the tournament winners.

 

 

GLENBROOK SOUTH TOURNAMENT

Glenbrook South 18 Conant 11

Odysseas Lazarou scored 5 goals as the Titans used a 6-1 run in the final period to pull away from Conant to earn an 18-11 victory. Alec Burke led the Cougars' offense with 5 scores in the loss.

 

Hinsdale Central 16 Warren 1

Scott Spinazola recorded 5 goals to help lead the Red Devils past Warren 16-1. Jeremy Gunter scored the lone goal for the Blue Devils.

 

Hinsdale Central 9 Glenbrook South 7

Mason Schmidt recorded 3 goals as the Red Devils defeated GBS 9-7. Brendan Chang and Odysseas Lazarou both scored 2 times in the losing effort.

 

Conant 12 Warren 4

Ishan Patel tallied 3 scores as the Cougars defeated Warren 12-4. Chris Cortes notched 2 scores in the loss for the Blue Devils.

 

Conant 8 Hinsdale Central 4

Alec Hirjoi poured in 7 goals to lead the Cougars to an 8-4 victory over Hinsdale Central.

McHenry 15 Lane 11

Jonah Smith scored 5 goals and both Michael Matusek and Riley Hedberg each scored 4 times as McHenry defeated Lane 15-11

 

McHenry 20 Jones-Payton 11

Michael Matusek tallied 5 scores and Riley Hedberg scored 4 goals as the Warriors knocked off the Eagles 20-11.

 

McHenry 8 Lake Forest 7

Jonah Smith scored 4 goals and both Michael Matusek and Riley Hedberg scored 2 times as the Warriors edged Lake Forest 8-7 to win the event.

 

 

LYONS TOURNAMENT

Lyons 10 York 7

Victor Perez scored 5 times and Armin Korsos scored 3 goals as the Lions outscored York 5-1 in the final period to earn a 10-7 comeback win over the Dukes. Ben Eszias also scored 2 times in the win for LT. Alex Marlott and Simon DeGrace led the Dukes with 2 scores apiece in the losing effort.

 

Loyola 11 Oak Park 5

John Merucci scored 5 times and Tony Spallone scored 3 goals as the Ramblers earned an 11-5 win over Oak Park. Alex Lavery scored 3 goals, Thomas Cozzi put in 2 scores and Kevin Obrecht made 13 saves in the losing effort.

 

York 12 St Ignatius 8

Alex Marlott and Nik Miklyukh each scored 4 times while Parker Hicks, Simon DeGrace and Tim Delaney each scored 2 goals in the Dukes' 12-8 win over St Ignatius.

Sam Lilly registered 4 goals, Jack Williams scored 2 times and Joe Muehlschlegel made 7 saves as the North Stars defeated Schaumburg 9-7. Matthew Soltau scored 5 goals in the loss for the Saxons.

 

New Trier 18 Stagg 3

Henry Yavitt and Mason McQuet each scored 4 goals, Remy Musikantow netted 3 scores and Sam Yavitt tallied 2 scores in the Trevians' 18-3 win over Stagg.

 

Sandburg 16 Schaumburg 2

Marty Blake tallied 4 scores and both Ben Mars and Josh Grella scored 3 times in the Eagles' 16-2 win over Schaumburg. Matthew Soltau and Sam Thomas each scored once in the losing effort.

Henry Yavitt recorded 5 goals and both Mason McQuet and Sam Yavitt scored 3 times as the Trevians pulled out to a 9-4 halftime lead en route to a 17-7 victory over Naperville North. Cole Jacobs scored 3 goals and Jon-Jon Pettinger notched 2 scores in the losing effort.

Ben Mars and Marty Blake each scored 4 goals and Cooper Reiher netted 3 scores in the Eagles' 14-6 victory over STC North. Jack Williams scored 4 times and Sam Lilly put in 2 scores in the loss for North.

Matthew Soltau recorded 6 goals, Sam Thomas notched 5 scores and Ryan Gustafson tallied 4 goals as the Saxons beat Stagg 15-11 to claim a fifth-place finish at the event. Rafal Jezierski scored 6 goals in the loss for the Chargers.

Jon-Jon Pettinger scored 5 goals and Nick Zillier tallied 4 scores as the Huskies beat STC North 19-9 for third place at the event. Jack Williams netted 6 scores in the losing effort.

#1 Naperville Central earned a comeback win over the defending champs 8-6 this morning at #4 Fenwick. NC trailed 4-1 at halftime but scored 5 times in Q3 to get the win. Emily Westlove scored 5 goals and Sara Campbell made 9 saves for the winners.

 

Lyons 9 Loyola 6

Hanna Good scored 4 goals, Kaysie Stuba added 3 scores and Grace Wantuck made 7 saves in the Lions' 9-6 win over Loyola. Victoria Guevara added one goal while Annika Moore totaled 3 assists and 3 steals for the winners.

 

Naperville Central 14 St Ignatius 3

Emily Westlove scored 4 goals, Rylee Brower notched 3 scores and Emily Rodgers scored 2 times in the Redhawks' 14-3 win over St Ignatius. Sara Campbell also made 8 saves in the win.

 

Mother McAuley 12 New Trier 4

Paulina Correa registered 6 goals and MaryKate McKendry made 7 saves as the Mighty Macs got past New Trier 12-4.

 

Mother McAuley 10 Naperville Central 9

Paulina Correa totaled 4 scores and Jill Mueller scored 3 times as the Mighty Macs staved off a late rally to earn a 10-9 victory over the Redhawks. Becky Schofield added 2 goals and Kate Fischer scored once for McAuley.

Zoe Relias notched 3 scores to help the Red Devils edge GBS 7-6. Kelly Klish scored 3 times in the loss for the hosts.

Nellie McKernan scored the game-winner with ten seconds remaining in regulation to send Evanston past Conant 3-2 on Saturday. Lauren Hays and Riley Hughes each added one goal for the Wildkits. Lea Cejvan and Olivia Olszewski both scored once and Cam Rosas made 17 saves in the losing effort.

Gracie Dix registered 5 goals and Mary Clare McAleer stopped 8 shots in Prospect's 8-4 win over Bradley. Emma Colehour, Kate Colehour and Megan Pfeiffer each scored one time in the winning effort. Megan Schroeder scored 2 times in the loss for the Boilers.

 

Bradley 8 Palatine 1

Megan Schroeder scored 3 goals to help lift the Boilers over Palatine 9-1. Harper Appel scored one goal in the losing effort.

 

Prospect 8 Palatine 1

Gracie Dix totaled 5 goals and Abby Withey scored 2 times in the Knights' 8-1 win over Palatine. Natalia Koval scored the lone goal for the Pirates.

 

Prospect 8 Maine East 3

Colleen Doyle and Gracie Dix both notched 4 scores and Mary Clare McAleer made 11 saves as Prospect beat the hosts 8-3 to win the event.

Ellie Kennedy-Wood and Tamsen Cronin both scored 3 goals and Addie Steward-Nolan and Nell Behr each tallied 2 scores in the Huskies' 15-1 win over Whitney Young.
