Libertyville 16 McHenry 8

Eric Turner registered 5 goals, Scott Villiard scored 3 times and Jack Otto made 10 saves in the Broncos' 16-8 triumph over McHenry. Riley Hedberg tallied 4 scores and Michael Matusek put in 3 goals in the loss for the Warriors.

 

Barrington 14 Maine West 4

Kyle Mitchell tallied 3 scores and both Colin O'Leary and John Fischer scored 2 goals to help the Broncos get past Maine West 14-4.

 

McHenry 17 Maine West 14

Michael Matusek poured in 13 goals to lead McHenry past Maine West 17-14.

 

Barrington 14 Libertyville 4

Mitch Gavars scored 4 goals and Jack Krieps made 7 saves in the Broncos' 14-4 win over Libertyville. John Fischer also tallied 3 scores for the winners.

 

Libertyville 14 Maine West 6

Eric Turner scored 3 goals and Jack Otto stopped 12 shots as the Wildcats earned a 14-6 win over Maine West.

 

Barrington 23 McHenry 13

Mitch Gavars recorded 7 goals, Kyle Mitchell scored 4 times and both John Fischer and Steven Fischer scored 3 goals as the Broncos won their own event after beating McHenry 23-13.

 

 

NAPERVILLE CENTRAL TOURNAMENT

Naperville North 16 Mundelein 11

Riley Thompson scored 4 goals, Cole Jacobs and Jon-Jon Pettinger both scored 3 times and Nick Zillier registered 2 scores in the Huskies' 16-11 win over Mundelein. Brandon Kavanaugh scored 4 goals, Nick Oleinik netted 3 scores and Jake Gonzalez put in 2 scores for the Mustangs.

 

Lincoln-Way Central 13 Glenbrook South 5

Mason Maze tallied 4 scores, Ryan Burke netted 3 goals and Jacob Culver made 14 saves in the Knights' 13-5 triumph over GBS.

 

Mundelein 21 Glenbrook North 5

Nick Oleinik totaled 6 goals and Jake Garcia notched 4 scores in the Mustangs' 21-5 triumph over GBN. Joe Duffy added 3 scores and Kyle Guzzio tallied 2 scores as well for the winners.

 

Naperville Central 14 Glenbrook South 3

Nolan Vaughn registered 4 goals, Matt Reagan scored 3 times and Kent Emden made 12 saves in the Redhawks' 14-3 win over GBS. Dominic May and Philip Sajaev also scored 2 goals each for the victors.

 

Lincoln-Way Central 10 Hinsdale Central 9

Mason Maze scored 7 goals and Ryan Burke added 3 goals in the Knights' 10-9 victory over HC.

 

Mundelein 9 Buffalo Grove 8

Kyle Guzzio tallied 3 scores while Brandon Kavanaugh and Jake Garcia each notched 2 goals to help the Mustangs earn a 9-8 victory over BG.

 

Lincoln-Way Central 10 Mundelein 5

Ben Bethke, Mason Maze and Matt Klock all scored 3 goals and Jacob Culver made 14 saves to help the Knights beat Mundelein 10-5 for a third place finish at the event. Nick Oleinik scored 3 goals in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

Naperville Central 11 Naperville North 5

Nolan Vaughn scored 3 times and Kent Emden stopped 14 shots to help the Redhawks beat Naperville North 11-5 to win the event. Dominic May, Luke Klein-Collins and Matt Reagan each added 2 scores in the tournament-winning effort.

 

 

SANDBURG TOURNAMENT

STC North 12 Prospect 6

Jack Williams netted 6 goals, Siba Filipovic scored 3 times and Joe Muehlschlegel made 6 saves in the North Stars' 12-6 victory over Prospect. Sam Kalenowski added 2 goals, Sam Lilly scored once and Charlie Williams totaled 5 steals for the victors.

 

STC North 14 St Rita 9

Jack Williams tallied 5 scores, Siba Filipovic scored 4 goals and Joe Muehlschlegel stopped 13 shots in the North Stars' 14-9 triumph over St Rita. Charlie Williams and Sam Lilly each added 2 goals for the victors.

 

St Rita 15 Prospect 11

Ethan Johnson registered 5 scores to lead the Mustangs to a 15-11 victory over Prospect.

 

 

WAUBONSIE VALLEY TOURNAMENT

STC East 8 Fremd 6

The Saints earned an 8-6 victory over Fremd in the first game for both teams at the event. Danny Konishi and Derek Warnstedt both scored 2 goals and Christian Zukowski made 10 saves in the losing effort.

 

Latin 6 Fremd 5

Daniel Shwarz scored 3 goals, Frankie Joslin put in 2 scores and Eli Bucksbaum made 10 saves as the Romans knocked off Fremd 6-5. Tucker Jones also scored a key goal in the win.

 

Fremd 11 Waubonsie Valley 7

Derek Warnstedt poured in 6 goals and Kenny Barry scored 2 times as the Vikings defeated Waubonsie Valley 11-7.

 

Latin 12 Hoffman 0

Eli Buscksbaum made 9 saves and earned a shutout while Ben Golub and Ethan Ethiscope each scored 3 times in the Romans' 12-0 win over Hoffman. Sam Orlin and Tucker Jones both added 2 scores for the tournament-winners.

 

Fremd 9 Highland Park 4

Kenny Barry and Sebastian Lekas each tallied 2 scores while Christian Zukowski (7 saves) and Mitch Thompson (8 saves) combined to block 15 shots in the Vikings' 9-4 victory over Highland Park. Danny Konishi, Derek Warnstedt (3 assists), Ethan Schillinger, Quinn Booker and Tony Lee each added one score in the win.

Elk Grove 12 Warren 1

Alyssa Bonilla and Kaylee Hatfield each scored 4 goals and Melena Herrera made 12 saves as the hosts defeated Warren 12-1.

 

Elk Grove 9 Libertyville 5

Hannah Sallenback scored 5 goals, Gillian Guerra notched 2 scores and Melena Herrera made 17 saves in the Grenadiers' 9-5 victory over Libertyville. Annie Barnett scored 2 goals in the loss for the Wildcats.

 

Libertyville 7 Meadows 4

Jess Lanty scored 3 goals to lead the Wildcats past Meadows 7-4.

 

Elk Grove 10 Maine East 9

Hannah Sallenback notched 3 scores, Alyssa Bonilla and Kaylee Hatfield both scored 2 times and Melena Herrera totaled 11 saves in the hosts' 10-9 victory over Maine East.

 

 

JENISON TOURNAMENT

Naperville Central 17 Forest Hills 2

Emily Rodgers poured in 7 goals, Emily Westlove scored 5 times and Jodie Nelson put in 4 scores in the Rehawks' 17-2 tournament-opening win over Forest Hills at the Jenison Tournament.

 

Naperville Central 16 Grand Ledge 2

Emily Westlove totaled 4 goals, Jodie Nelson and Rylee Brower (7 steals) both scored 3 times and goalie Sara Campbell allowed just 2 goals in the Redhawks' 16-2 win over Grand Ledge.

 

Naperville Central 13 Zeeland 1

Alli Hansen recorded 4 goals and both Anne Marie Gunn and Rylee Brower scored 3 times to help the Redhawks beat Zeeland 13-1 to win the Jenison Tournament. Emily Westlove added 2 goals, Emily Wagner scored once and Sara Campbell made 7 saves for the winners.

 

 

MUNDELEIN TOURNAMENT

LWC 8 Oak Park 3/LWC 16 Fremd 6/LWC 15 Mundelein 7

Nicole McCabe totaled 14 goals and 11 steals and Caroline Heathcock scored 7 times as the Knights went 3-0 to win the Mundelein Tournament. Megan Cales added 5 goals, Maddie Clark scored 4 times and both Erin Muellerschoen and Nikki Howe tallied 3 scores for Central at the event.

 

Oak Park 9 Fremd 5

Ellie Kennedy-Wood totaled 4 scores and Kaitlyn Peterson made 10 saves in the Huskies' 9-5 victory over Fremd. Chloe Pimentel, Kathryn Raeder, Nell Behr, Lizzy Silber and Tamsen Cronin each added one goal for the winners.

 

 

PALATINE TOURNAMENT

Lincoln-Way East 9 Conant 4

Megan Fisher, Reis Parkinson and Sarah Jackson each scored 2 goals to help lead the Griffins to a 9-4 win over Conant. Aly Wooley, Olivia Olszewski, Nia Tsoulos and Paulina Chowaniec (3 ejections drawn) each scored once and Cam Rosas made 17 saves in the losing effort.

 

Conant 3 Prospect 1

Lea Cejvan, Olivia Olszewski and Paulina Chowaniec each scored once as the Cougars built a 3-0 lead and held on for a 3-1 victory over Prospect. Cam Rosas also made 21 saves in the win. Kate Colehour scored the lone goal for the Knights.

 

Palatine 3 Maine South 2

Ashley Helminski recorded 2 goals, Kiki Herbst scored once and Megan Woell blocked 17 shots to help the Pirates claim a 3-2 victory over Maine South.

 

Lincoln-Way East 5 STC North 4

Paige Ruffner and Reis Parkinson both scored 2 goals and Sarah Jackson scored once to lift the Griffins over STC North 5-4.

 

Neuqua Valley 8 Evanston 7

Zoe Salafatinos registered 6 scores to lead the Wildcats past Evanston 8-7 and into the title game of the event. Riley Hughes notched 4 scores in the losing effort.

 

STC North 12 Maine South 2

Sarah Gibson scored 3 goals and Claire Rich made 8 saves in the North Stars' 12-2 victory over Maine South.

 

Prospect 10 Palatine 3

Colleen Doyle notched 3 scores and Mary Clare McAleer made 12 saves as the Knights' upended Palatine 10-3 in the event's fifth-place game. Kiki Herbst scored 3 goals and Megan Woell stopped 13 shots in the loss for the hosts.

 

Evanston 4 Conant 3

Giselle Figueroa scored 3 times, including the game-winner on a penalty shot, as the Wildkits' completed a fourth quarter comeback to edge Conant 4-3 to claim third place at the Palatine Tournament. Lauren Hays also scored once for the winners. Amanda Skittone, Nia Tsoulos and Olivia Olszewski each scored once in the loss for the Cougars.

 

Lincoln-Way East 14 Neuqua Valley 3

Paige Ruffner netted 5 scores and Sarah Jackson scored 4 times as the Griffins defeated Neuqua Valley 14-3 to win the Palatine Tournament. Reis Parkinson was named Tournament MVP for her efforts in helping East win the event.
