GBS TOURNAMENT

Libertyville 7 Prospect 7

Scot Villiard scored 4 goals, Carl Michellotti added 2 scores and Jack Otto made 7 saves as a 7-7 draw with Prospect sent the Wildcats to the championship round to take on Naperville North and New Trier for the title. Dan Macina led the Knights' offense with 4 goals in the tie.

RJ Quinn totaled 4 goals to lead the Huskies past Palatine 10-8. Dylan White, Glenn Ingebritson and Sean O'Brien each tallied 2 scores in the loss for the Pirates.

Nathan Perkiski scored 3 goals to help lift the Wildkits over Lake Forest 8-3.

Adam McGovern, Jack Hiss and Matt Townsend each scored 3 goals and Todd Kubolbeck scored 2 times as the Wildcats got past Metea Valley 15-12.

 

Neuqua Valley 9 Bradley 2

Adam McGovern and Gabe Johnson both scored 4 goals as the Wildcats beat Bradley 9-2 to win the Metea Valley Tournament.

 

 

MUNDELEIN TOURNAMENT

Mundelein 11 Conant 5

Brandon Kavanaugh recorded 4 goals and the trio of Kyle Guzzio, Nick Oleinik and Ryan Zentz all scored 2 times in the Mustangs' 11-5 win over Conant.

 

Stevenson 6 Naperville Central 5

Justin Ginsberg registered 3 scores and the trio of Andrew Shashin, Collin Kapecki and Dan Maleski each scored once as the Patriots edged Naperville Central 6-5. Matt Reagan scored 2 goals and both Michael Stern and Luke Klein-Collins scored once in the loss. Kent Emden also made 9 saves and denied a penalty shot for the Redhawks.

 

Naperville Central 13 Mundelein 3

Luke Klein-Collins netted 3 goals and Kent Emden made 5 saves as the Redhawks beat Mundelein 13-3. Brad Sanford, Dominic May, Michael Stern and Nolan Vaughn each added 2 scores for the winners. Jake Garcia, Jake Gonzalez and Nick Oleinik each tallied one score in a 13-3 loss.

 

Stevenson 14 Conant 8

Justin Ginsberg netted 4 goals and both Andrew Shashin and Eric Osuch tallied 3 scores as the Patriots got past Conant 14-8. Collin Kapecki, Dan Maleski, Varun Ganesh and Zach Hede each scored one goal for the winners.

 

Naperville Central 12 Conant 2

Bender Russo, Michael Stern and Nolan Vaughn all scored 2 times and Kent Emden made 10 saves to help the Redhawks earn a 12-2 victory over Conant.

 

Stevenson 19 Mundelein 9

Andrew Shashin poured in 9 goals and Dan Maleski tallied 5 scores as the Patriots earned a 19-9 victory over Mundelein. Nick Oleinik totaled 4 goals, Kyle Guzzio netted 3 scores and both Brandon Kavanaugh and Jake Garcia scored one goal apiece for the Mustangs.

 

 

NILES WEST TOURNAMENT

York 8 Barrington 7

Alex Marlott, Isaac Marlott and Parker Hicks each scored 2 goals and both Nik Miklyukh and Tim Delaney scored once as the Dukes edged Barrington 8-7.

 

York 11 STC East 7

Nik Miklyukh scored 3 times and both Mike Sullivan and Tim Delaney tallied 2 scores in the Dukes' 11-7 victory over STC East. Alex Marlott chipped in with a goal and 3 assists while Billy Dyra, Ervin Prophete and Will Salek all scored once for the winners.

 

York 12 Niles West 8

Nik Miklyukh totaled 5 goals and Alex Marlott scored 3 times as the Dukes defeated Niles West 12-8 to win the event on Saturday. Marlott also totaled 6 assists and drew 3 ejections while Isaac Marlott scored 2 times as well in the victory.

 

 

ST IGNATIUS TOURNAMENT

Whitney Young 19 Lane 5

Chris Liu scored 4 times and both Dan Rusca and Tadzio Kurka notched 3 scores in the Dolphins' 19-5 win over Lane. Jack Gullickson scored 2 goals in the loss for the Indians.

 

St Ignatius 12 Maine West 3

Andreas Christy and Jacob Conroy both scored 3 goals and Gus Enger put in 2 scores as the Wolfpack got past Maine West 12-3. Paul Loewes scored 2 goals in the loss for the Warriors.

 

Whitney Young 13 Maine West 5

Dan Rusca scored 7 goals and Arturo Magana netted 3 scores as the Dolphins earned a 13-5 victory over Maine West.

 

St Ignatius 14 Lane 8

Andreas Christy totaled 4 goals and Moises Lopez tallied 3 scores as the Wolfpack defeated Lane 14-8. Will Quan scored 6 goals in the loss for the Indians.

 


 

 

 

GBN TOURNAMENT

Mundelein Wins GBN Title

Abbie Lukas totaled 23 goals, Carolyn Westgate made 13 steals and Hannah Stanley stopped 32 shots as the Mustangs won the GBN Tournament after wins over Hoffman, Libertyville and St Viator and a draw with the hosts. Lukas also dished out 8 assists while Westgate scored 5 goals, Ella Krauss scored 4 times and both Cayce Parker (10 steals) and Jessica Peterson (11 steals) scored 3 goals at the event. Nicolina Bottiglieri and Julia Whelan both added 2 goals while Amanda Garcia, Alana Goodson and Luzy Renz each chipped in with a goal for the event winners.

 

 

NAPERVILLE CENTRAL TOURNAMENT

Naperville Central 14 STC North 1

Alli Hansen and Emily Westlove recorded 4 goals apiece and Sara Campbell scored once and blocked 6 shots in the Redhawks' 14-1 win over STC North. Sarah Gibson tallied one score in the loss for the North Stars.

 

Lincoln-Way East 8 Jenison 1

Sarah Jackson scored 3 goals, Reis Parkinson netted 2 scores and both Katelyn Meagher and Meghan Fischer tallied one score in the Griffins' 8-1 win over Jenison. Taylor Arnold scored once in the loss for the visitors.

 

Lincoln-Way East 7 STC North 0

Paige Ruffner registered 3 goals and Reis Parkinson scored 2 times as the Griffins beat STC North 7-0. Kaylie Pollard earned the shutout for East.

 

Naperville Central 15 Jenison 3

Rylee Brower totaled 6 goals and both Alli Hansen and Emily Westlove tallied 2 scores in the Redhawks' tournament-clinching 15-3 win over Jenison.

Naperville North 11 Hinsdale Central 2

Taylor Wessel recorded 5 goals, Isabelle Rocco scored 3 times and Brigit McDonnell scored 2 goals as the Huskies started the day with a 11-2 victory over Hinsdale Central. Mary Kress and Maggie Neil each put in one score for the Red Devils.

 

Oak Park 10 Lake Forest 4

Kathryn Raeder scored 3 goals and both Chloe Pimentel and Tamsen Cronin scored 2 times to help the Huskies get past Lake Forest 10-4. Allison Majka and Grace Donahue each scored 2 goals in the loss for the Scouts.

 

Lincoln-Way Central 11 Hinsdale Central 8

Nicole McCabe recorded 7 goals and 3 steals, Caroline Heathcock added 2 scores and both Megan Cales and Erin Muellerschoen scored once in the Knights' 11-8 triumph over Hinsdale Central. Mary Kress, Toni Strausser and Zoe Relias each scored 2 goals in the loss for the Red Devils.

 

New Trier 8 Lake Forest 4

Megan Frentzel scored 3 goals and Alaina Vivian recorded 2 goals as the Trevians beat Lake Forest 8-4. Grace Donahue totaled 3 scores in the losing effort.

Caroline Heathcock scored 3 goals and Nicole McCabe netted 2 scores as the Knights upended HC 6-4. Claire Connors also made 9 saves in the win. Taylor Wessel scored 2 goals in the loss for the Huskies.

Addie Steward-Nolan scored 2 goals to help the Huskies edge New Trier 6-4.

 

Hinsdale Central 10 Lake Forest 7

Zoe Relias scored 4 goals to lift the Red Devils over Lake Forest 10-7 in the fifth-place game of the event.

 

Naperville North 8 New Trier 4

Isabelle Rocco scored 4 goals and Ali Horn scored 2 times in the Huskies' 8-4 win over New Trier.

Caroline Heathcock, Nikki Howe and Nicole McCabe each scored 2 goals as the Knights beat Oak Park 9-6 to win the Naperville North Tournament on Saturday. Tamsen Cronin scored 3 goals in the loss for the Huskies.

Hudsonville 10 Fenwick 9

Alaina Lubbers and Emily Tuttle both registered 4 goals to help Hudsonville get past Fenwick 10-9. Kelly Frumkin totaled 4 goals while Harper Daniels and Kassy Rodriguez each scored 2 times in the loss for the Friars.

 

Okemos 8 Evanston 6

Sydney Fountain recorded 6 goals to lead the Chiefs to an 8-6 win over Evanston. Niha Singh scored 2 goals in the loss for the Wildkits.

 

Mother McAuley 10 Hudsonville 8

Kate Fischer scored 3 goals and the trio of Erin Breakey, Jill Mueller and Paulina Correa each scored 2 goals to help the Mighty Macs beat Hudsonville 10-8. Alaina Lubbers tallied 3 scores while Claire Tuttle scored 2 times in the losing effort.

 

Stevenson 15 Skyline 1

Claire Haas recorded 5 goals and Eleanor Michaud, Lauren Maloney, Shreya Sreedhar and Vicky Kolotov all scored 2 times in the Patriots 15-1 win over Skyline. Miranda Stuart scored once in the loss for the Eagles.

 

Fenwick 8 Rockford 5

Harper Daniels, Kelly Frumkin, Millie Sheean and Molly McGuire each scored 2 goals in the Friars' 8-5 win over Rockford. Sara Fredricks scored 3 goals in the loss for the Rams.

Sarah Williams and Sydney Fountain both tallied 3 goals and Isabella Morris netted 2 scores as the Chiefs earned an 8-5 victory over Mother McAuley. Becky Schofield scored 2 goals in the losing effort.

Riley Hughes notched 3 scores, Nena Singh tallied 2 scores and Emma Stein scored once as the Wildkits ended the weekend with a 6-2 victory over Skyline. Maddy McAdams and Miranda Stuart both scored one goal in the losing effort.

 

Rockford 5 Mother McAuley 4

Meegan Snyman scored 3 goals and Sara Fredricks scored 2 times as the Rams held off Mother McAuley 5-4 on Saturday afternoon. Snyman scored the game-winner with less than three minutes remaining to secure the win. Becky Schofield scored 2 goals, including the game-tying goal in the final period, while Katie Fischer and Paulina Correa also scored once in the loss for the Mighty Macs.

Claire Haas registered 4 goals while Eleanor Michaud, Fiona Gaffney and Lauren Maloney all scored 2 times in the Patriots' tournament-clinching 13-6 victory. Isabelle Morris, Sarah Williams and Sydney Fountain each scored 2 goals in the loss for the Chiefs.

Kaysie Stuba tallied 5 goals, Hanna Good scored 3 times and Grace Wantuck made 11 saves in the Lions' 13-4 win over Loyola. Annika Moore made 7 steals to lead the defense and scored 2 goals while Olivia Ohm also scored 2 goals in the win.

 

Lyons 11 St Ignatius 6

Kaysie Stuba scored 7 goals and Grace Wantuck made 7 saves in the Lions' tournament-winning 11-6 win over St Ignatius.
