MSL CROSSOVERS

Elk Grove 5 Barrington 3

Angie Mena scored 3 goals and Melena Herrera made 26 saves as the Grenadiers held off Barrington 5-3. Alex Kelly tallied 2 scores and Maddie Case stopped 10 shots in the losing effort.

Hoffman 14 Meadows 10

Abby Fuscone registered 5 scores and both Benita Varanauskaite and Elena Arias scored 4 times as the Hawks defeated Meadows 14-10. Maggie Goodwin scored 6 goals in the loss for the Mustangs.

Palatine 15 Wheeling 13

Maggie O'Brien recorded 8 goals and Elena Brewer blocked 13 shots in the Pirates' 15-13 victory over Wheeling.

Schaumburg 10 Prospect 6

Olivia Bugajny totaled 4 goals in the Saxons' 10-6 win over Prospect. Caitlin Broz put in 2 scores in the loss for the Knights.

MSL CHAMPIONSHIP

Conant 13 Buffalo Grove 7

Update #1: Olivia Olszewski scored 3 goals in the first half to help give Conant a 5-3 lead at halftime. BG led 2-1 and 3-2 before the Cougars used a 3-0 run in the second quarter to lead by two at the break.

Update #2: The Bison closed the gap to one early in the quarter, but Gabi Konieczny's late goal in the third period gave Conant a 9-6 lead with one quarter remaining.

Update #3: The Cougars outscored BG 4-1 in the final period to win 13-7 as they claim the MSL title.

Olivia Olszewski scored 5 goals and drew 5 ejections while both Sarah Erne (6 steals) and Sydney Arnold scored 2 times in the win. Cecilia Carlson recorded 4 goals in the loss for the Bison.
