SEMIFINAL #1

Stevenson 13 New Trier 12

Andrew Shashin and Cristiano Tomasetti both scored 4 times as the Patriots outlasted New Trier 13-12 in overtime to advance to the state title game. Charlie Ryan scored 6 goals in the loss for the Trevians.

 

 

SEMIFINAL #2

Naperville Central 10 St Ignatius 4

Nick Walker scored 6 goals and Kyle Jackson added 2 scores as the Redhawks emerged with an 8-3 win over St Ignatius to advance to the state title game. Andreas Christy scored 2 times in the loss for SICP.

 

 

CONSOLATION

New Trier 13 St Ignatius 10

Henry Yavitt scored 4 goals, Charlie Ryan scored 3 goals and Danilo Scekic and Sam Yavitt each scored 2 goals as the Trevians fended off St Ignatius 13-10 in the third-place game. Shane Hughes scored 5 goals and Moises Lopez scored 2 times in the loss for the Wolfpack.

 

 

CHAMPIONSHIP

Naperville Central 8 Stevenson 5

Nick Walker scored 3 goals, Kyle Jackson registered 2 scores and Kent Emden stopped 16 shots as the Redhawks completed a perfect season after beating Stevenson 8-5 in the state title game. Philip Emden, Brian Calabrese and Bender Russo each added one goal in the winning effort. Dan Maleski and Kurt Holzer each put in a pair of goals and Collin Kapecki scored once in the loss. Charlie Day also made 10 saves for the Patriots.

QUARTERFINAL #4

Stevenson 10 St Ignatius 7

The Patriots jumped out to an 8-2 halftime lead and staved off a second half rally by the Wolfpack to earn a 10-6 victory on Friday night. Claire Haas scored 5 goals, Allison Travetto scored 3 goals and Lauren Burns stopped 18 shots for the victors. Lauren Maloney and Tanya Shkiler each added one score while Haas and Travetto each made 5 steals in the win. Nina Mantich registered 3 scores and Jenny Stelnicki saved 15 shots in the losing effort. Diana Fernandez, Emma Dolan, Stephania Lopez and Tara White all scored once as well for the Wolfpack.

 

 

SEMIFINAL #1

Naperville Central 7 Mother McAuley 5

Alli Hansen scored 3 goals and Kaela Codo scored 2 times as the Redhawks advanced to the state finals after earning a 7-5 victory over Mother McAuley. Emily Westlove converted a late penalty shot and Emily Rodgers also added a key goal in the second half for the winners. Maggie Hennigan and Paulina Correa both scored 2 goals and Jill Mueller scored once in the loss for the Mighty Macs.

 

 

SEMIFINAL #2

Fenwick 9 Stevenson 7

Catie Wallace scored 3 goals and both Kelly Frumkin and Eryn Kulik scored 2 times as the Friars defeated Stevenson 9-7 to advance to the state title game. Frumkin scored a key goal midway through the final period before Wallace converted a penalty. Allison Travetto (4 goals) got the Patriots within one of the Friars, but Kulik added an empty net goal in the final minute to seal the win. Amelia Eastman, Fiona Gaffney and Lauren Maloney each scored once and Lauren Burns stopped 21 shots in the loss for SHS.

CONSOLATION

Stevenson 9 Mother McAuley 4

Allison Travetto, Eileen Hoang, Lauren Maloney and Tanya Shkiler each scored 2 goals and Lauren Burns made 21 saves to help lift the Patriots over the Mighty Macs 9-4 in the third-place game. Maggie Hennigan scored 3 times in the loss for McAuley.

 

 

CHAMPIONSHIP

Fenwick 13 Naperville Central 12 (OT)

Catie Wallace scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the Friars beat Naperville Central 13-12 in overtime to win the girls' state title. Wallace and Kelly Frumkin each scored 3 goals while Clare Durkin, Eryn Kulik and Shannon Forst all tallied 2 scores for the winners. Jillian Wickham also scored once while Anna Sullivan was credited with 7 saves in the victory. Anne Marie Gunn, Emily Westlove and Kaela Codo each scored 3 goals while Faith Vandercar blocked 15 shots in the loss. Alli Hansen also scored 2 goals and Jennifer Oliver put in one score for the Redhawks.
