season. This is not a complete list and we can only include a few people
in this summary, but the purpose is to recognize a few of the best
performances from each week.

- Nate Moyer (Highland Park)
Moyer scored 5 goals in the
Giants' 11-10 overtime win over Libertyville.
- Kyle DeGroot (Lincoln-Way East)
DeGroot scored 6 goals to lead the Griffins to a 14-5 win over Sandburg.
- Grace Nelson (York)
Scored 4 times to lead York to a 9-8 win over Barrington on
- Kathryn Emerson (Buffalo Grove)
Scored 5 goals to lead Buffalo Grove to a 9-4 victory over
Graham Olson/Jon Lesniak (McHenry)
Olson and Lesniak combined to
scored 30 goals in 3 games at the New Trier Tournament, helping the
Warriors finish with wins over New Trier and Fremd on Saturday.
- Kyler Van Swol (Lincoln-Way North)
Van Swol scored 10 goals in Lincoln-Way North's 22-6 victory over Bradley,
finishing the week with 26 goals and 8 assists as LWN went 3-0.
Nate Kelley (Highland Park)
Kelley scored the game-winning goal in sudden
death overtime to give Highland Park an 11-10 win over Libertyville.
- Maeve O'Connor (Loyola)
Totaled 26 goals at the St Ignatius Tournament, as the Ramblers finished the
weekend with a 3-0-1 record.
- Maggie Knowles (Lockport)
Knowles scored 19 goals in Lockport's third-place finish at the St Viator
Tournament over the weekend.
Top Goalie Performances
Adam Weisberger (Stevenson)
Recorded 13 saves (including a penalty shot block) to
lead Stevenson past St Patrick 11-10.
Dan Schmitz (Buffalo Grove)
Made 13 saves
and added 4 assists in Buffalo Grove's 18-3 win over Elk Grove.
- Chris Asta (Barrington)
Recorded 25 saves help the Broncos beat Latin, Palatine, and St Viator
over the weekend.
- Maude Kingsbury (Lincoln-Way East)
Recorded 13 saves to help Lincoln-Way East beat rival
Lincoln-Way Central 10-9 on Tuesday night.
Mariana Irwin (Highland Park)
Made 17 saves, including the game-saving block with three
seconds remaining to help Highland Park hold off Libertyville 4-3.
Recorded 17 saves as Sandburg outlasted Homewood-Flossmoor
The Porters have been tough all season, but their wins over H-F, New Trier,
McHenry, and Fremd this week moved them into the Top 20 and gives them
momentum as they head towards the postseason.
- Hoffman Estates
The Hawks imporved to 11-9 on the
season with four wins in Week 6, giving them their best record in team
history at this point in the season.
News and Notes
The Sectional seed meetings take
place on Wednesday night; the 2009 playoff brackets will be announced by
the end of the night or early Thursday afternoon.
