Degla hits the post and French misses with the rebound shot
Veldman nearly gets a chance at 2m but French prevents a shot
O'Malley gets Sandburg's first chance but his lob hits the right post and
Plichta recovers the loose ball
French sweeps a shot past Malecki and the Vikings take a 1-0 lead
Veldman draws an ejection on Knudsen; the Vikings get a stop and keep the
lead
Malecki blocks a lob shot by Degla
Veldman hits the crossbar with a shot from 5m and Fremd takes over; Degla
misses from inside 5m
Plichta makes another save but Sandburg keeps possession; Helsdingen and
Heinlein force a turnover at 2m
Malecki stops a shot from close range to keep the game at 1-0
Tunney hits the post for the Eagles; Sandburg forces a turnover on the
other end
Veldman's shot is tipped aside by Plichta
Degla assists French on a backhand with :08 left in the period for a 2-0 Fremd lead

Sandburg comes up short on their first possession
French scores again with a backhand and the Vikings lead 3-0
Tunney hits the post for Sandburg; O'Malley forces a turnover; Bonnar
clips the post and Sandburg cannot get on the board
French shoots over the goal
Bonnar finds Veldman open at 5m and he connects to the left corner to
put Sandburg on the scoreboard
Plichta blocks Veldman's shot...
...but Bonnar earns a steal in transition and scores an uncontested
goal to make the score 3-2
Sandburg ejection, but Fremd cannot convert
Veldman with a steal for the Eagles
O'Malley's shot from the left is tipped aside by Plichta
Malecki with a stop
Veldman draws an ejection and Bonnar scores from in close to take
advantage and ties the score at 3-3
Sandburg with a stop; Veldman draws an ejection at 2m; Plichta with a fine
stop on Veldman's 7m attempt
Tunney passes out of 4m to Zieler who is driving down the left side and
he sneaks a shot past Plichta
Fremd turnover; Plichta save; Tunney steal...

Sandburg wins the swim-off; the teams trade possessions with nothing doing
early
Veldman passes out of set to Bonnar, whose left-handed shot from 7m
beats Plichta to the right corner
Fremd goes on offense...quick stop for the Eagles
Veldman draws Knudsen's third ejection, but Degla earns a steal
Tunney with a steal, ahead to Veldman, Zieler's shot in transition is
denied by Plichta
Kruill with a steal for Sandburg; his eventual shot from 7m is blocked by
Plichta
Tunney with a steal, Plichta blocks Zieler's shot attempt from the left
side
Sandburg's defense continues to deny Fremd any solid scoring opportunities
Plichta with a block on Veldman's 2m attempt
Heinlein draws an ejection but Helsdingen's lob attempt lands on top of
the goal
Veldman gets position at 2m and scores to give Sandburg a 6-3 lead
Fremd timeout
Neither team can get a shot on target on the next two possessions after
the break as we enter the final minute of Q3
Veldman connects from inside 5m to put the Eagles ahead 7-3
Into the final minute...Fremd draws an ejection and Stark scores to end

Plichta and Malecki each make saves in the closing seconds and we enter
the fourth quarter with the Eagles up by three

QUARTER 4
Both teams with stops in the opening minute
Malecki with a block but Ostman grabs the rebound and scores to trim
the lead to 7-5
Veldman responds by fighting off a double team to put the Eagles back
on top by three goals
Chaotic play on both ends, ending with Plichta denying O'Malley's shot and
Fremd takes over
Degla blocks Krull's shot from outside 7m; Krull earns a steal on the
other end
Sandburg timeout at the 4:02 mark
Fremd with solid defense to Sandburg's first chance after the timeout;
Zieler with a steal on the other end
Veldman launches a shot from 5m and connects to give Sandburg a 9-5
lead
Sandburg stop; nothing doing on both ends...until O'Malley hits the
crossbar from the left side
The Eagles retain possession, run the shot clock down, then Tunney's 9m
lob hits the bar and Fremd takes over
Malecki elevates to tip Helsdingen's deflected shot away and Sandburg gets
the loose ball
Sandburg timeout
Fremd with a stop, then Degla's 5m attempt hits the bar and goes over the
goal
Sandburg looks to take the clock down under a minute...
...then Veldman scores from 5m to give the Eagles a 10-5 advantage
Subs come in off the bench for both teams in the final minute
The Eagles force a turnover and run the shot clock down, then Veldman
scores again with :13 left in regulation
Fremd can't get a shot on goal as Sandburg advances with an 11-5 victory
