GAME PREVIEWS (Friday, March 13)

FEATURED EVENT

PALATINE TOURNAMENT

The fifth-annual Palatine Tournament provides a much better look at how several of the top teams in the state will fare during the upcoming season. This year's edition will be no exception, as some of the state's best do battle in a nine-team tournament that features six exciting contests on Friday night followed by three morning games on Saturday before the championship round begins. St Ignatius edged Loyola to win the event last year, but they will have their work cut out for them if they hope to stave off the defending champions (Loyola) as well as several other state tournament contenders that fill out the field.

OTHER KEY EVENTS

The five Naperville-area teams gather for their annual Week 1 tournament beginning on Friday night at Naperville North. Can the hosts repeat a champions or will any of the other challengers make a major impression on the state as the first week of water polo comes to a close?
