Barrington 13 Highland Park 7

Marshall Mathias poured in 6 goals and both Chase Lesniak and John Fischer scored 3 times to help lead Barrington past the hosts 13-7 in the tournament opener. Kamil Jerominski also tallied one goal for BHS.

 

Barrington 12 Elk Grove 6

Pat Hogan scored 4 goals, Tom Derken scored 3 times, and both John Fischer and Kamil Jerominski put in 2 goals in Barrington's 12-6 victory over Elk Grove. Emmett Kozlowski also scored once in the win for the Broncos.

 

Barrington 11 Glenbrook North 5

Chase Lesniak and Matt Gouskos both recorded 3 goals and Marshall Mathias added 2 scores to help lift the Broncos over GBN 11-5 in the Highland Park Tournament title game. Charlie Hoffman, Sean Gerbich, and Kamil Jerominski each added one score in the win for Barrington.

Elliot Gates scored 5 times and Jacob Williams netted 3 scores in the Caravan's 13-5 victory over Taft. Narciso Perez and Trevor Taylor each scored 2 goals in the loss for the Eagles.

Jacob Williams tallied 4 scores and Elliot Gates put in 3 goals in Mt Carmel's 17-2 win over Julian. Jeremy Tang and Qadree Williams each scored once in the loss for Julian.

 

Jones-Payton 19 Taft 5

Will Macellaio poured in 8 goals and Jared Williams scored 6 times as the Eagles claimed third place at their own event by beating Taft 19-5.

 

Von Steuben 18 Mt Carmel 7

Nate Kaiser scored 6 goals, Alex Altamirano tallied 5 scores, and Ethan Hamp notched 3 scores as the Panthers beat Mt Carmel 18-7 to win the tournament. Isaiah Williams and Jacob Williams both recorded a pair of goals in the loss for the Caravan.

Naperville Central 13 Metea Valley 3

Kyle Jackson scored 4 goals and Kyle Mallen added 3 scores as the Redhawks earned a 13-3 victory over Metea Valley on Saturday morning. Nick Walker also scored 2 times in the winning effort. Cam Gidlow, Keegan Reilly and Sherkhan Tagirov all scored once in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

Neuqua Valley 13 Waubonsie Valley 2

Scott DePuy tallied 4 goals, Simon Shatinsky put in 3 scores, and Joey Dalesandro and Troy Salafatinos each notched 2 scores as the Wildcats beat Waubonsie Valley 13-2. Jack Angus added a goal and Austin Mollway made 6 saves and allowed just one goal in the win. Kay Andressen scored 2 times and Cedrick Chan stopped 11 shots and made 5 steals in the losing effort.

 

Naperville North 14 Metea Valley 2

Drake McClure and Jon Pettinger each scored 3 times and both Charlie Calvo and Spencer Wallace put in 2 goals as the Huskies upended Matea Valley 14-2. Cam Gidlow and Michael Litinsev each scored 2 times in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

Naperville Central 17 Neuqua Valley 12

Nick Walker poured in 9 goals and the Redhawks used a 6-2 run to pull away from the Wildcats in the second half to earn a 17-12 victory on Saturday. Kyle Jackson added 3 goals and both Christian May and Phillip Emden scored 2 times for Central. Simon Shatinsky led Neuqua with 4 goals and the trio of Brett Whaley, Scott DePuy, and Troy Salafatinos each netted 2 goals in the loss for the Wildcats.

 

Waubonsie Valley 8 Metea Valley 8

The Warriors and Mustangs ended their respective weekend campaigns with an 8-8 draw on Saturday. Kay Andressen scored 5 goals, Jon McWhirter added 2 scores, and Cedrick Chan made 13 saves for WV. Max Chamberlin totaled 3 goals while Matt Flanders (who tied the game with 0:19 left in regulation) and Michael Litinsev added 2 scores for Metea.

 

Naperville Central 10 Naperville North 8

Nick Walker scored two straight goals in the fourth quarter to help the Redhawks break a 7-7 deadlock and Christian May responded to a goal from the Huskies' Joe Tomashek with just under one minute left in regulation as Naperville Central defeated Naperville North 10-8 to end the weekend's festivities at North.  Walker scored 4 goals and both May and Phillip Emden put in 3 scores for the victors. Cole Jacobs netted 3 goals and both Drake McClure and Tomashek scored 2 times in the loss for the hosts.

 

 

PALATINE TOURNAMENT

New Trier 17 Palatine 8

Chandler Tempest registered 5 goals and both Mason McQuet and Nicky Hochschild scored 3 times in the Trevians' 17-8 victory over the hosts. Dylan White and Ryan Schlaiss each scored 2 goals in the loss for the hosts.

 

Loyola 13 Homewood-Flossmoor 8

Andrew Hodur scored 4 goals and Jack Schermerhorn tallied 3 scores to lead the Ramblers past H-F 13-8 on Saturday. Matt Merucci and Max Ashurst each scored a pair of goals in the victory. Haden Santefort put in 6 goals in the loss for the Vikings.

 

Mundelein 11 McHenry 9

Matt Schaedel recorded 4 goals and Nick Oleinik netted 3 scores as the Mustangs defeated McHenry 11-9. Jeremy Westgate and Mike Ward both added 2 goals in the win for Mundelein. Kevin Braun tallied 3 goals and Garrett Floden scored 2 times in the loss for the Warriors.

Shane Hughes rattled the back of the cage 12 times for the Wolfpack as they earned a 16-11 win over the Huskies. Lawrence Cozzi led OPRF with 4 goals in the loss.

Mike Ward put in 6 goals and Matt Schaedel netted 4 scores to help lead Mundelein past the Vikings 14-6. Haden Santefort scored all 6 goals for H-F in the losing cause.

Alex Grant and Michael Krueger each tallied 5 scores, Chandler Tempest scored 3 times, and Chris Keller registered 2 goals as the Trevians claimed second place at the event by beating McHenry 18-11. Garrett Floden scored 4 times in the loss for the Warriors.

 

Curie 13 St Ignatius 9

Christian Campos recorded 5 goals and Jeronimo Chavez scored 4 times in the Condors' 13-9 win over SICP, helping secure a fourth-place finish at the event. Shane Hughes scored 5 goals and Jack Dunn put in 2 scores in the loss for the Wolfpack.

 

Mundelein 13 Palatine 8

Mike Ward notched 6 goals and Matt Schaedel netted 3 scores in the Mustangs' 13-8 win over Palatine at the end of the event on Saturday. Ryan Schlaiss led the hosts with 4 goals in the losing effort.

STC North 11 Riverside-Brookfield 6

John Pretet scored 4 goals, Ryan Helfers netted 3 scores, and Garrett Allamian made 9 saves as the North Stars earned an 11-6 victory over R-B. Chris Stanek added 2 goals and teamed up with Helfers to lead the defense with 8 steals. Jeremy Leal and Sam Lilly also scored once in the winning effort.

 

STC North 19 Bremen 8

Chris Stanek registered 6 scores and both Jon Gallee and John Pretet scored 3 times as the North Stars knocked off Bremen 19-8. Garrett Allamian made 9 saves, John Quinn and Ryan Helfers each scored 2 goals, and the trio of Jeremy Leal, Nathan Bawolek, and Zach Smith all scored once in the win.

 

Stagg 13 STC North 9

The Chargers ended their perfect weekend with a 13-9 win over STC North in the title game of their own event. Statistics for the hosts coming soon. Meanwhile, Ryan Helfers registered 7 goals and goalie Garrett Allamian made 5 saves in the loss for the North Stars. Chris Stanek and Jon Gallee both scored once as well for the second-place finishers.

 

 

STEVENSON TOURNAMENT

Stevenson 18 Wheeling 1

Collin Kapecki tallied 5 goals, Alex Kapecki and Luke Gable-Preze each scored 4 goals, and Dan Maleski put in 3 scores in Stevenson's 18-1 triumph over Wheeling. Rahul Arun also scored 2 goals in the win for the hosts. Nate Reiff scored the lone goal in the loss for the Wildcats.

 

Fremd 8 Niles West 2

Dylan Assmann scored 3 goals, Robert DePau put in 2 goals and Zac Keper made 10 saves to help the Vikings beat Niles West 8-2 on Saturday afternoon. Alex Nicholas, Ryan Dudar, and Zach Starkey each scored once as well for the victors.

Collin Kapecki, Cris Tomasetti and Kurt Holzer all scored 4 goals and Andrew Shashin netted 2 goals in the Patriots' 16-4 victory over Fremd. Rahul Arun led the defense with 5 steals and Dan Maleski chipped in with 4 assists for the winners. Alex Nicholas, Conrad Wojda, Dan Anderson, and Nate Jordan each scored once in the loss for the Vikings.

Alex Nicholas recorded 4 goals, Dan Anderson and Dylan Assmann each chipped in with 3 scores, and Zac Keper made 11 stops for the Vikings in a 15-3 win over the Wildcats. Paulina Chowaniec also scored 2 goals while both Claire Rosas and Shannon Maloney each scored once. Julia Saunders, Lexy Kos, and Mackenzie Kos each scored once in the loss for the Saints.

Abby Warren recorded 5 goals to lead the Scouts past Lane 7-3. Grace Donahue also scored 2 goals in the win for Lake Forest.

Mother McAuley 10 Seaholm 1

Claire Mueller and Maggie Hennigan each scored 4 goals and Devin Flaherty and the Mighty Macs defense allowed just one goal to beat Seaholm 10-1. Annie Kelly and Nellie Murphy each added goals for the Macs, who put the game away with a 6-0 run in the final period.

The Vikings and Ramblers kicked off the event on Saturday morning and played to a 6-6 draw. Emma Hoffman led the Vikings with 2 goals, Emma Jeronimus made 18 saves, and four players (Emily Kini, Megan Younker, Sarah Coombes, Tami Carlson) scored one goal apiece for the hosts.

 

Bremen 10 Lincoln-Way Central 4

Jillian Schultz poured in 6 goals and Leah Wood totaled 3 assists and 3 steals as the Red Jaguars defeated LWC 10-4. Delaney Shepard recorded 2 goals and both Alli Ramirez and Cailey Davern scored once in the loss for the Knights.

 

Fremd 12 Lincoln-Way Central 4

Tami Carlson netted 4 goals, Emma Hoffman put in 3 scores, and Emma Jeronimus saved 11 shots as the Vikings knocked off LWN 12-4. Katie Difiglio scored 2 goals and both Katie Quinn and Katie Steele scored once and combined to make 11 steals in the North Stars' 6-1 win over Hoffman. Brittany Veto also pitched in on defense with 6 steals and goaltender Claire Rich allowed just one goal.

 

STC North 3 Hinsdale Central 3

The North Stars and Red Devils picked up where they left off in last year's postseason with another close game, this time finishing in a 3-3 tie. Katie Difiglio totaled 2 goals and 5 steals and Claire Rich made 13 saves in the draw for North. Cassy Hauserman added the other goal for the North Stars. The tiebreaker moved STC North into the title game of the event. Samara Lillioja stopped 10 shots in the draw for HC.

 

Hinsdale Central 10 Lincoln-Way North 4

Nina Relias recorded 5 goals and Samra Lillioja blocked 14 shots to lead Hinsdale Central to a 10-4 win over LWN in the event's third-place game.

 

STC North 6 Lincoln-Way East 3

Katie Difiglio and Katie Quinn both scored 2 goals and Claire Rich made 8 saves to help lead the North Stars past LWE 6-3 in the title game of the event. Abby Ponte and Sarah Gibson each added one score while Katie Steele dished out 3 assists in the win. Difiglio and Quinn also combined to make five steals to lead the defense.

 

 

METEA VALLEY TOURNAMENT

Naperville North 12 Metea Valley 5

The Huskies jumped out to a 7-1 lead and never looked back, starting the day with a 12-5 victory over Metea Valley. Jilian Eiken notched 3 scores, both Elle Matern and Olivia Eiken scored 2 times, and five other players (Alli Horn, Amber McClure, Katie Horn, Lauren Liberio, Sam Reed) scored once in the win.

 

Naperville Central 14 Waubonsie Valley 3

Kaela Codo totaled 5 scores and the trio of Alli Hansen, Angie Benton, and Emily Westlove each recorded 2 goals in the Redhawks' 14-3 win over the Warriors. Faith Vandercar also made 5 saves in the victory.

 

Naperville North 10 Neuqua Valley 3

The Huskies moved one step closer to winning the event by beating Neuqua Valley 10-3. Katie Horn led the North offense with 6 goals, while both Jilian Eiken and Taylor Stoner pitched in with 2 goals apiece. Catherine Carroll, Morgan Miller, and Heather Sterchele each scored once and goalie Issi French made 14 saves and blocked a pair of penalty shots in the losing effort.

 

Naperville Central 12 Neuqua Valley 2

Kaela Codo scored 3 goals, Alli Hansen and Emily Westlove both registered 2 scores, and Faith Vandercar made 8 saves as the Redhawks downed Neuqua Valley 12-2.

 

Naperville North 11 Waubonsie Valley 6

Lauren Liberio tallied 3 scores and both Caitlin Holzer and Jilian Eiken netted 2 goals as the Huskies beat Waubonsie Valley 11-6 to close out the event with a perfect record. Elle Matern, Hannah Wessel, Katie Horn, and Olivia Eiken each added one goal in the North win.

Morgan Miller tallied 5 scores, Catherine Carroll scored 4 times, and Issi French stopped 10 shots and earned a shutout as Neuqua Valley blanked Metea Valley 11-0. Zoe Salafatinos also chipped in with 2 goals in the Wildcats' victory.

Millie Rosen recorded 3 goals to help lift the Wildkits over Prospect 7-2. Ellie McGough and Gracie Dix put in one goal apiece in the loss for the Knights.

Sarah Dolitsky poured in 8 goals to lead the Eagles past Prospect 10-5 on Saturday afternoon. Ann Fulk, Ellie McGough, Faye Barry, Megan Pfeiffer, and Niki Neumann each scored once in the losing effort.

 

Prospect 6 New Trier 5

Danielle McCallister and Niki Neumann each scored 2 goals and Lauren Broz blocked 6 shots to help the Knights secure a 6-5 victory over New Trier. Gracie Dix and Megan Pfeiffer both added one goal in the winning effort. Stephanie Jodloman led the Trevians with 4 goals in the loss.

The Patriots earned their second win of the day after beating Palatine 14-2. Allison Travetto netted 5 goals and Annika Hotchkiss scored 4 times in the winning effort. Meanwhile, Caroline Wojtas and Caitlin McHugh each scored once for the Pirates.

Andrea Potgeiter tallied 4 goals and both Mia Latimer and Nicole Runtz scored 2 times to help the Fillies get past Buffalo Grove 10-5. Heidi Pallan and Isabella Rojas each added one goal and Elizabeth Connors stopped 5 shots in the win. Jessi Graziano scored 3 times and Katy Kirsh recorded 2 goals in the loss for the visitors.
