The Red Devils look to get their season on track when they head to Elmhurst hoping to upset the Dukes, who are in the midst of a winning streak after winning the Schaumburg Tournament last weekend.

Loyola 14 Brother Rice 6

Cameron Shewchuck, George Finn, Jack Nickele, Regan Murphy, and Tom Baker all scored 2 times as the Ramblers upended the Crusaders 14-6 in a Catholic League contest on Wednesday. Dan Whalen scored 3 goals and Matt Bachler put in 2 scores in the loss for Brother Rice.

Evanston 12 Maine West 11

The Wildkits edged Maine West 12-11 in a CSL crossover contest on Wednesday. Sebastian Hernandez recorded 5 goals and Paul Bilski stopped 12 shots in the narrow loss for the Warriors.

 

Lane 12 Von Steuben 7

Peter Proctor and Roberto Millan-Ayala each scored 3 goals to lead the Indians past Von Steuben 12-7.

 

Morgan Park 19 Steinmetz 9

Christian Cooper scored 10 goals and Mike Crawley put in 4 scores as the Mustangs beat Steinmetz 19-9.

 

St Ignatius 16 St Rita 12

Billy Barth recorded 5 goals and Shane Hughes scored 4 times as the Wolfpack got past St Rita 16-12 on Wednesday. Gunnar Glaab also scored 2 times in the win for SICP.

 

Westinghouse 15 Lake View 8

Anfernee Sturdivant tallied 6 goals, Tony Chabla scored 5 times, and Dante Navarro notched 4 scores as Westinghouse defeated Lake View 15-8. Andriy Andrushchak and Michael Zuniga each scored 3 times in the loss for the Wildcats.

 

York 17 Hinsdale Central 11

Wil Hubert registered 5 goals and Casey Callans notched 4 goals as the Dukes pulled away from the Red Devils in the second half to earn a 17-11 win. Matt Rodriguez and Tim Matsas each added 3 scores in the winning effort.

Mother McAuley 12 Loyola 8

The Mighty Macs built a 6-4 halftime lead en route to a 12-8 win over Loyola on Wednesday in Catholic League play. Clare Bryar registered 6 goals, Fran Williamson scored 3 times, and Julie Olivares notched 2 scores in the win for McAuley. Maggie Hennigan also scored once and Genna Payton recorded 4 blocks in the winning effort. Meanwhile, Marta Considine recorded 4 goals, Claire Voss notched 2 scores, Emily Barr and Ellen Garrity each scored once, and Colleen Ahern stopped 8 shots in the loss for the Ramblers.

 

OTHER KEY GAMES

Naperville Central 17 Metea Valley 3

Kaela Codo recorded 4 goals and both Emily Westlove and Michelle Spaits tallied 3 scores as Naperville Central knocked off Metea Valley 17-3. Jessica Fox and Kristina Altuve each added 2 goals and Beth Ryan led the defense with 4 steals in the winning effort.

 

Naperville North 16 STC North 6

Jilian Eiken scored 5 goals, Katie Horn notched 4 scores, and Kate MacDuff blocked 15 shots as Naperville North defeated STC North 16-6. Dani DiMatteo also scored 3 goals and Caitlin Holzer netted 2 scores in the win for North. Angelica Villa, Katie Steele, and Nicole Guyett each tallied 2 goals in the losing effort for the North Stars.

 

Westinghouse 21 Lake View 10

Alejandra Izquierdo recorded 8 goals and Madeline Garcia netted 7 scores to help Westinghouse get past Lake View 21-10. Halah Hamid put in 6 goals and Baylee Cabrera netted 3 scores in the losing effort.

 

York 7 Hinsdale Central 5

Grace Achepohl and Lauren Tamm each netted 3 goals and Perri Brinkmeier scored once and dished out 4 assists as York defeated Hinsdale Central 7-5.
