Lyons 11 Sandburg 10

The Lions traveled to Orland Park and held off the Eagles 11-10 to hand the hosts their first loss of the season. Nathan Kriha led the LT offense with 4 scores in the win. Zach Roper recorded 3 goals and Sean McNicholas blocked 13 shots in the loss for Sandburg.

 

OTHER KEY GAMES

Curie 13 Jones-Payton 3

Ivan Ariza recorded 5 goals and both Manny Martinez and Oscar Hernandez tallied 3 scores as Curie beat Jones-Payton 13-5. Will Macellaio scored 2 times in the loss for the Eagles.

 

DLS 9 Brother Rice 5

Robert Rodriguez scored 4 goals and Jeremy Siegel tallied 3 scores to lead the Meteors to a 9-5 victory over Brother Rice. Angelo Espinoza also scored 2 times and Joe Koziol saved 7 shots in the win for DLS.

 

Lincoln-Way North 9 Lincoln-Way East 4

Pat McGuire scored 3 times, both Cole Claypool and Evan Surma recorded 2 scores, and Shamus Shields blocked 11 shots as LWN defeated LWE 9-4.

 

Naperville North 19 Waubonsie Valley 9

Drake McClure and Nolan Roberts both poured in 5 goals and Gianmarco Duin scored 3 times to lead the Huskies to a 19-9 triumph over Waubonsie Valley.

 

Northside 13 Whitney Young 9

Christian Hernandez and Connor Gillespie both recorded 5 goals and Daniel Gonzalez totaled 11 saves and 4 steals to lift the Mustangs over the Dolphins 13-9 in a CPS contest on Thursday.

 

STC North 15 STC East 2

Nick Traxler racked up 6 goals and John Pretet notched 4 scores as the North Stars beat the Saints 15-2.

Sandburg 16 Lyons 13

Danielle Lencioni scored 5 goals while Sarah Dolitsky totaled 4 scores and 7 assists as the Eagles went on the road to earn their biggest win of the season over Lyons 16-13.  Frankie Delleman led the Lions with 3 goals while Julia Cohen, Emma Hirt, Haley Hughes, Caroline Walsh (5 assists) and Meredith Land each scored 2 times in the loss for the hosts.

 

OTHER KEY GAMES

Andrew 10 Metea Valley 8

Megan Hofer totaled 6 goals and both Courtney Carter and Genny McCarthy tallied 2 scores as the T-Bolts earned a 10-8 road victory over Metea Valley on Thursday night. Catherine Stouffer saved 7 shots in the win for the visitors. Brittney Effner and Leah Hummel both recorded 3 goals in the losing effort for the Mustangs.

 

Jones-Payton 9 Curie 7

Rebecca Sudworth tallied 4 scores and both Anna Miller and Samantha Kosloske notched 2 scores as the Eagles fended off Curie 9-7. Jennifer Villanueva scored 3 goals and Elizabeth Pantoja netted 2 goals in the loss for the Condors.

 

Naperville North 14 Waubonsie Valley 3

Caitlin Holzer scored 3 times while Dree Kinder and Kate MacDuff combined to stop 12 shots to help the Huskies earn a 14-3 win over Waubonsie Valley. Dani DiMatteo, Helen Wei, Katie Horn, and Jilian Eiken all scored 2 goals in the Huskies' victory.

 

Northside 6 Whitney Young 5

Marti Hale scored 4 goals, including the game-winner with 4:47 remaining in regulation, as the Mustangs battled back from a 3-0 deficit to beat Whitney Young 6-5 on Thursday. Heather Walker also put in 2 goals while Megan Davis blocked 7 shots in the win for the Mustangs. Kennedy Baldwin registered 4 goals and Gabby Chelette added one score in the loss for the Dolphins.

 

STC North 17 STC East 11

Nicole Guyett recorded 5 goals, Katie Quinn scored 4 times, and both Katie Difiglio and Katie Steele put in 3 scores as the North Stars pulled away from the Saints in the second half to earn a 17-11 win over their rivals. Brittany Veto also scored 2 goals while Quinn led the defense with 8 steals.
