Conant Edges Hinsdale Central By Tiebreaker To Claim GBS Tournament Title
The Cougars earned early wins over the hosts and LWW before ending the day
with a 9-9 tie against
Hinsdale Central to win the Glenbrook South Tournament by tiebreaker on Saturday.
On the offensive end, Dave Wollschlaeger led the way with 7 goals, while a
balanced attack also saw five other players total 4 goals (Alan
Wojiechowski, Brandon Grzegorek, Jason Brushaber, Jon Burke, Kyle
Bradberry). Defensively, Brushaber and Burke combined to make 19 steals,
while goalie Ryan Haman blocked 26 shots and registered 10 steals for the
Cougars.
