GAME PREVIEWS (Saturday, April 7)

BOYS

MATCH OF THE DAY

Naperville North Tournament

The Huskies host six teams in a Saturday-only tournament that features a preliminary round that should be just as interesting as the championship round. Two of the best from the MSL (Fremd, Schaumburg) are joined by Stagg on one side of the bracket, while STC North is paired up with two top ten teams in the state in Sandburg and the hosts. The action kicks off at 11:00am with the title match set for 6:00pm.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

Elk Grove Tournament

Hoffman looks to defend their title against the same six-team field that attended the Elk Grove Tourney in 2011. In last year's edition, the Hawks defeated Maine East for the title and they will once again face the hosts and Andrew in their group. Hersey, Maine East, and Maine South do battle in the second group for a chance at 2012 title.

GBS Tournament

Conant, Hinsdale Central, and Lincoln-Way West all head to Glenbrook South for a four-team, six-game tournament on Saturday.

GIRLS

MATCH OF THE DAY

Barrington Tournament

The Fillies' four-team tournament includes teams that are either in or hovering around the Top 25, so all six matchups should be worth watching closely. The hosts start the proceedings at 9:00am with a game against Vernon Hills, while Lake Forest and undefeated Libertyville play in the next contest at 10:00am.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

GBS Tournament

The Titans welcome Conant, Hinsdale Central, and Lincoln-Way West for a six-game tournament that coincides with a boys' tournament at the same location. All four teams are at or above .500, so expect several close contests on Saturday.
