Peter Dales scored 5 goals, Tommy Hagerty netted 4 scores and Brian Johnson made 8 saves to help lead the Titans over Conant 12-7. Mihir Patel scored 3 times and Harris Dibek made 9 saves in the loss for the Cougars.

 

Hinsdale Central 7 Lincoln-Way West 6

Jimmy Lee registered 4 scores to lead the Red Devils past LWW 7-6 on Saturday. Jake Carlson tallied 3 scores in the loss for the Warriors.

 

Glenbrook South 10 Hinsdale Central 3

Richard Poma recorded 4 goals, Peter Dales notched 3 scores and Brian Johnson stopped 12 shots in the Titans' 10-3 win over Hinsdale Central. Jimmy Lee scored 3 times in the loss for the Red Devils.

 

Conant 12 Lincoln-Way West 10

Alec Burke scored 5 goals and Harris Dibek blocked 9 shots to lead the Cougars past LWW 12-10 on Saturday. Jake Carlson scored 7 times in the loss for the Warriors.

 

Hinsdale Central 6 Conant 5

Mason Schmidt registered 4 scores as the Red Devils held off Conant 6-5 to finish in second place at the GBS Tournament. Braden LaMore scored 3 goals and Harris Dibek made 12 saves in the loss for Conant.

 

Glenbrook South 8 Lincoln-Way West 5

Brendan Chang netted 4 scores, Richard Poma scored 2 times and Brian Johnson made 16 saves as the Titans won their own event after fending off LWW 8-5. Jake Carlson scored 3 times in the losing effort.

 

 

LYONS TOURNAMENT

Lyons 8 Loyola 5

George Lundgren registered 3 goals while Adam Cardone and Sam Szczepaniak each tallied 2 scores in the Lions' 8-5 win over Loyola. Michael Zahorik also scored once in the win for LT. Matt Merucci scored 2 goals while the trio of Chris Jovanovich, Danny McGowan and Michael Considine each scored once in the loss.

 

York 17 Whitney Young 7

Tim Evely scored 7 goals and Parker Hicks added 3 scores in the Dukes' 17-7 victory over the Dolphins. Alex Marlott also scored 2 times in the winning effort. Dan Rusca scored 4 goals and Benjamin Liu put in 2 scores in the loss for Whitney Young.

 

St Ignatius 11 Loyola 10

Shane Hughes scored the game-winning goal with six seconds left as the Wolfpack outlasted Loyola 11-10 on Saturday. Hughes notched 4 scores while Andreas Christy and Finn Connors each tallied 2 scores to help the Wolfpack earn the win. Matt Merucci recorded 6 goals and Max Ashurst put in 2 scores in the loss for the Ramblers.

 

Oak Park 11 Whitney Young 10

Lawrence Cozzi tallied 6 goals, Matt Mitrovich scored 3 times and Kevin Obrecht stopped 13 shots in the Huskies' 11-10 win over Whitney Young. Leo Manola and Thomas Wolfe each added one goal in the win for OPRF.

 

Lyons 18 St Ignatius 9

Sam Szczepaniak registered 6 goals as the Lions used a 10-2 run in the second half to pull away from St Ignatius in order to earn an 18-9 victory in the virtual title game of the event.

 

York 16 Oak Park 6

The Dukes ended the event by locking up a fourth place finish after a 16-6 win over Oak Park. Stats for the Dukes coming soon. Leo Manola scored 3 times, Lawrence Cozzi netted 2 goals and Kevin Obrecht made 12 saves in the losing effort.

 

 

NAPERVILLE NORTH TOURNAMENT

Naperville North 11 Sandburg 8

Spencer Wallace tallied 4 scores and the trio of Cole Jacobs, Charlie Calvo and Matt Magee each scored 2 goals in the Huskies' 11-8 win over Sandburg. Brian Lapham also scored once in the winning effort. Alex Serrano netted 3 goals while Cobie Fritsch scored 2 goals for the Eagles.

 

Schaumburg 11 Stagg 11

Tyler Gustafson (Schaumburg) and Gabe Jezierski (Stagg) led their respective teams with 5 goals as the two squads finished in an 11-11 tie on Saturday.

 

New Trier 13 Sandburg 2

Charlie Ryan and Sam Yavitt both scored 3 goals and both Henry Yavitt and Will Kohr scored 2 times as the Trevians beat Sandburg 13-2. Aidan Farley and Cobie Fritsch each scored once in the losing effort.

 

STC North 12 Schaumburg 1

Sam Lilly registered 6 goals and John Quinn netted 2 goals as the North Stars defeated Schaumburg 12-1. Tyler Gustafson scored the lone goal in the loss for the Saxons.

 

New Trier 9 Naperville North 9

The hosts scored two straight goals in the final minute to secure a 9-9 draw with New Trier on Saturday. Cole Jacobs scored from outside 9m to cut the Trevians lead to one with less than thirty seconds left, but the Huskies were able to force a turnover before Charlie Calvo connected on the game-tying score in the final seconds. Jacobs scored 3 goals, Calvo and Matt Magee both scored 2 times and Brian Lapham and Chris Popiolek each scored once for the hosts. Henry Yavitt recorded 4 goals, Danilo Scekic and Michael Krueger both scored 2 times and Charlie Ryan scored once for the Trevians.

 

STC North 6 Stagg 2

Nathan Bawolek totaled 3 goals and 5 steals, John Quinn scored 2 times and Garrett Allamian blocked 8 shots as the North Stars beat Stagg 6-2 to advance to the title game of the Naperville North Tournament. Brad Peterson and Gabe Jezierski each scored once in the loss for the Chargers.

 

Sandburg 16 Schaumburg 5

Marty Blake recorded 5 goals and Alex Serrano added 4 scores in the Eagles' 16-5 win over Schaumburg in the event's third-place game. Ben Mars and Joey Jenkot each tallied 2 scores as well in the winning effort. Matt Soltau led the Saxons' offense with 3 scores in the contest.

 

Naperville North 17 Stagg 7

Jon Jon Pettinger scored 4 goals, Chris Korb scored 3 times and Cole Jacobs, Nick Zillier and Spencer Wallace each scored 2 goals in the Huskies' 17-7 win over Stagg. Alejandro Hucker put in 4 scores and Olaf Wrzesinski scored 2 goals in the losing effort for the Chargers.

 

New Trier 14 STC North 4

Danilo Scekic scored 3 goals and Charlie Ryan, Michael Krueger, Nick Kish and Zach Cohen each scored 2 times as the Trevians beat STC North 14-4 to win the Naperville North Tournament. Sam Lilly scored 3 goals and Jack Williams added one goal in the loss for the North Stars.

 

 

NILES WEST TOURNAMENT

Fremd 14 Waubonsie Valley 3

Robert DePau scored 6 goals, Alex Nicholas tallied 2 scores and Nate Jordan added one goal and dished out 4 assists as the Vikings defeated Waubonsie Valley 14-3. Cole Steffl, Jon McWhirter and Wyatt Tiscareno each scored once in the loss for the Warriors.

 

STC East 16 St Rita 2

Andrew Roberge tallied 4 scores and Johnny Tarpey scored 3 times as the Saints beat St Rita 16-2. Garret Farmer, Harrison Holloman and Jack Sweeney each added 2 goals while Ethan Braham, Jason Hinds and Kyle Chapko all chipped in with one score for the winners.

 

Evanston 6 Maine West 2

Thomas Fies scored 4 goals to lead the Wildkits to a 6-2 win over Maine West. Adam Smolik-Valles and Richie Sevic both scored once in the loss for the Warriors.

 

Niles West 11 Fremd 10

Sam Paloma scored the game-winning goal at the buzzer with a quick shot from the left side of the pool to send the Wolves past Fremd 11-10. Lucas Brace scored 6 times in the win for the hosts. Alex Nicholas scored 3 times while Derek Warnstedt, Nate Jordan and Robert DePau all scored 2 times in the loss for the Vikings.

 

Evanston 7 Wheeling 6 (OT)

Lucas Verelli scored with two seconds left in overtime to send Evanston past Wheeling 7-6 on Saturday at the Niles West Tournament. Thomas Fies scored 4 times in the win for the Wildkits.

 

Fremd 12 STC East 8

Robert DePau scored 5 times and Alex Nicholas added 3 scores in the Vikings' 12-8 win over STC East. Ryan Dudar added 2 scores and Mitch Thompson made 8 saves for the victors.

 

Waubonsie Valley 11 St Rita 5

Wyatt Tiscareno recorded 7 goals, Jon McWhirter notched 3 scores and Will Budzyn scored once as the Warriors beat St Rita 11-5 to secure their first win of the 2016 season.

 

Niles West 13 STC East 6

AJ Durakovic recorded 5 goals, including 3 scores during a 7-1 third quarter run, as Niles West won their own invitational after beating STC East 13-6. Won Lee also scored 3 key goals during the second half run while Simon Villegas led the defensive effort with 7 steals.

Libertyville 8 Maine West 7

Sara Clark scored 3 times and both Hannah Mendralla and Laurie Niederbras scored 2 goals to help the Wildcats edge Maine West 8-7. Grace Hurley also scored once in the win. Annie Picchiotti recorded 4 goals, Nina Martin put in 2 scores and Veronica Dunn scored one goal for the Warriors.

 

Lake Forest 6 Vernon Hills 4

Catherine Pompe and Madeleine Pompe each scored 2 goals and Amalia Liguori-Conelf made 9 saves as the Scouts defeated Vernon Hills 6-4. Priscilla Yim netted 3 scores in the loss for the Cougars.

 

Riverside-Brookfield 12 Maine West 2

Hannah Flynn recorded 6 goals to lead the Bulldogs past Maine West 12-2. Nina Martin scored both goals in the loss for the Warriors.

 

Barrington 14 Lake Forest 1

Mia Latimer and Isabella Rojas both scored 3 goals to help lead the Fillies past Lake Forest 14-1. Ellie Connors and Morgan Kelly teamed up to make 7 saves in the winning effort. Catherine Pompe scored once in the loss while Amalia Liguori-Conelf made 6 saves for the Scouts.

 

Riverside-Brookfield 15 Libertyville 12

Hannah Flynn poured in 10 goals and Megan Calby netted 2 scores in the Bulldogs' 15-12 win over the Wildcats on Saturday. Sara Clark scored 5 goals and Jess Lanty turned in 2 scores in the loss.

 

Barrington 14 Vernon Hills 1

Isabella Rojas and Nicole Runtz both scored 3 times while Andrea Potgieter and Courtney Blum scored 2 goals as Barrington beat Vernon Hills 14-1.

 

Maine West 15 Vernon Hills 2

Kristen Burger recorded 8 goals and the trio of Annie Picchiotti, Gaby Fragale and Nina Martin each scored 2 times in the Warriors' 15-2 victory over Vernon Hills.

 

Libertyville 10 Lake Forest 3

Sara Clark tallied 3 scores to lead the Wildcats past Lake Forest 10-3.

 

Barrington 11 Riverside-Brookfield 3

Isabella Rojas notched 4 scores and Andrea Potgiter, Mia Latimer and Nicole Runtz each scored 2 times in the Filiies' title-clinching 11-3 win over R-B. Ellie Connors also made 9 saves in the winning effort.

 

 

DEERFIELD TOURNAMENT

Deerfield 5 Jones-Payton 4

Katherine Rogers scored 5 goals to lead the Warriors past Jones-Payton 5-4 on Saturday morning.

 

Highland Park 8 Whitney Young 6

Emma Gelberg tallied 3 scores, Danni Cole scored 2 times and the trio of Carli Fox, Natalie Gelberg and Julia Solem each scored once in the Lady Giants' 8-6 win over Whitney Young.

 

Deerfield 8 Northside 6

Katherine Rogers recorded 7 goals and Naomi Willis scored once in the Warriors' 8-6 victory over NSP.

 

Highland Park 9 Latin 4

Natalie Gelberg recorded 4 goals, Emma Gelberg scored 2 times and Arianne Cole, Carli Fox and Molly Solem each scored once in HP's 9-4 victory over Latin.

 

Deerfield 15 Northside 4

Katherine Rogers poured in 12 goals and Naomi Willis scored 3 times as the Warriors beat Northside 15-4 to claim their place at their own tournament.

 

Highland Park 12 Northside 7

Emma Gelberg registered 6 goals, Natalie Gelberg put in 4 scores and both Abbey Hodges and Noa Cole each scored once as the Lady Giants advanced to the event's title game after a 12-7 win over Northside.

 

Highland Park 7 Whitney Young 5

Natalie Gelberg scored 5 goals and Julia Solem scored 2 times as the Lady Giants won the event after getting past Whitney Young 7-5 on Saturday afternoon.

 

 

FREMD TOURNAMENT

Fremd 13 Maine South 4

Paulina Pappas scored 3 goals and Emma Jeronimus made 8 saves as the Vikings defeated Maine South 13-4. Becca Rutkowski, Lauren Streitmatter, Karolina Urban and Braegan Taylor each added 2 scores for the winners. Katie Waszak, Keanan Bender and Iza Popek each tallied one score in the losing effort.

 

Metea Valley 10 Niles West 6

Rachael Carlen tallied 3 scores and both Abby Smedley and Gabby Duval scored 2 times in the Mustangs' 10-6 victory over Niles West.

 

Fremd 9 Metea Valley 3

Becca Rutkowski and Paulina Pappas both scored 3 goals, Emily Kini scored 2 times and Emma Jeronimus made 15 saves in the Vikings' 9-3 triumph over Metea Valley. Jenessa Islas-Parker also scored once in the win. Pricila Olivas scored 2 goals and Gabby Duval scored once in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

Niles West 16 Maine South 7

Lauren Patt recorded 9 goals to lead the Wolves to a 16-7 victory over Maine South. Katie Waszak scored 3 goals and Iza Popek put in 2 scores in the loss for the Hawks.

 

Metea Valley 11 Maine South 5

Alex Cerra scored 2 goals and nine players filled the scoresheet for the Mustangs as they earned an 11-5 win over Maine South.

Emily Kini scored 3 goals, Sarah Coombes netted 2 scores and Emma Jeronimus made 17 saves as the Vikings beat Niles West 9-2 to win their own event. Lauren Patt scored 2 times in the loss for the Wolves.

Kelly Klish scored 3 times and Samantha Wykurz netted 2 goals in the Titans' 7-5 victory over Conant. Hannah Lukas tallied 3 scores and Cam Rosas made 7 saves in the loss for the Cougars.

 

Hinsdale Central 8 Lincoln-Way West 3

Zoe Relias notched 3 scores to help lead the Red Devils past LWW 8-3. Erika Tanquilut scored 2 times in the loss for the Warriors.

 

Glenbrook South 4 Hinsdale Central 4

Kelly Klish (GBS) led all scorers with 4 goals as the Titans and Red Devils finished regulation tied at 4-4.

 

Conant 8 Lincoln-Way West 6

Nia Tsoulos scored 3 times, Claire Rosas netted 2 scores and Cam Rosas stopped 13 shots as Conant got past LWW 8-6 on Saturday. Cailey Janosek scored 2 times in the loss for the Warriors.

 

Hinsdale Central 12 Conant 7

Zoe Relias recorded 7 goals to help lead the Red Devils past Conant 12-7. Amy Rodriguez and Olivia Konieczny scored 2 goals apiece while Nia Tsoulos scored once in the loss for the Cougars.

 

Glenbrook South 7 Lincoln-Way West 1

Kelly Klish poured in 6 goals to lead the Titans to a 7-1 victory over LWW.

 

 

HERSEY TOURNAMENT

Hoffman 13 Morton 11

Jenny Fermaintt scored 6 goals and Ann Cho scored 3 times in the Hawks' 13-11 victory over Morton. Jenny Ascencion recorded 5 goals in the loss for the Mustangs.

 

Hoffman 11 Glenbrook North 4

Ann Cho recorded 6 goals and Jenny Fermaintt made 7 blocks as the Hawks earned an 11-4 victory over Glenbrook North.

 

 

MAINE EAST TOURNAMENT

Bradley 6 Palatine 3

Regan Warmoth scored 2 goals as Bradley opened their tournament effort with a 6-3 win over Palatine. Ashley Helminski, Kristin Anderson and Megan Woell (8 saves) each scored one goal in the loss for the Pirates.

 

Bradley 6 Prospect 5

Regan Warmoth scored 4 goals and both Arielle Elliott and Kenzie Chalifoux scored once as Bradley beat Prospect 6-5. Colleen Doyle and Gracie Dix both scored 2 times and Lauren Broz made 8 saves for the Knights.

 

Prospect 4 Palatine 3

Colleen Doyle, Emma Colehour, Kirsten Chamberlin and Megan Pfeiffer each scored once and Lauren Broz blocked 10 shots in the Knights' 4-3 win over Palatine. Mathilde Mogensen scored 2 goals and Kiki Herbst scored once in the loss for the Pirates.

 

Palatine 6 Buffalo Grove 1

Kristin Anderson scored 3 goals, Mathilde Mogensen scored 2 times and Megan Woell made 7 saves in the Pirates' 6-1 triumph over Buffalo Grove. Kaley Mockus also scored once in the winning effort. Lauren Komrska scored the lone goal in the loss for the Bison.

 

Prospect 9 Maine East 5

Colleen Doyle and Mina Singateh each scored 2 goals while Lauren Broz made 12 saves in Prospect's 9-5 victory over Maine East. Karolina Maniewski scored 4 times in the loss for the Blue Demons.

 

 

OAK PARK TOURNAMENT

Oak Park 14 Sandburg 7

The Huskies began their own event by securing a 14-7 victory over Sandburg. Genevieve Curry scored 10 goals, Addie Steward-Nolan and Jilly Cronin both scored 2 times and Kaitlyn Peterson made 7 saves in the win. Meanwhile, Clare Lawlor totaled 5 goals, both Madison Stuursma and Vaia Makris tallied one score and Morgan Bartelment stopped 11 shots in the loss for the Eagles.

 

Lincoln-Way North 13 Waubonsie Valley 3

Cassidy Degraff recorded 7 goals and 4 steals, Jess Larson scored 3 times and the trio of Julia Porco, Reis Parkinson and Sarah Jackson all scored once in North's 13-3 win over Waubonsie Valley. Kimela Srey put in 2 goals in the loss for the Warriors.

 

Oak Park 14 Waubonsie Valley 6

Genevieve Curry totaled 7 goals and 8 steals, Jilly Cronin scored 6 times and Kaitlyn Peterson made 5 saves as the Huskies earned a 14-6 win over Waubonsie Valley. Addie Steward-Nolan also dished out 6 asists and Chloe Pimentel scored once for the winners.

 

Lincoln-Way North 10 Sandburg 7

Cassidy Degraff totaled 9 goals and 6 steals to help lead the Phoenix past Sandburg 10-7 on Saturday. Jess Larson also scored once while Julia Porco made a huge impact on the defensive end with 5 steals. Clare Lawlor, Mara O'Connor and Tara Maher each scored 2 goals while Morgan Bartelment stopped 14 shots in the losing effort.

 

Waubonsie Valley 8 Sandburg 6

The Warriors bounced back from an earlier loss to LWN by beating Sandburg 8-6 on Saturday. Stats for the victors coming soon. In the loss, Clare Lawlor scored 3 goals, Mara O'Connor put in 2 scores and Morgan Bartelment made 11 saves for the Eagles.

 

Oak Park 15 Lincoln-Way North 6

The Huskies defeated LWN 15-6 to claim the title at their own tournament over the weekend. Genevieve Curry scored 8 goals, Jilly Cronin scored 3 goals and Kaitlyn Peterson made 8 saves for the victors. Kevan Casson also netted 2 scores for OPRF. Reis Parkinson scored 3 goals and the trio of Cassidy Degraff, Jess Larson and Sarah Jackson each scored once in the loss for the Phoenix.
