ELK GROVE TOURNAMENT

Libertyville Eludes Maine East To Claim Elk Grove Title
Devika Joshi scored 12 goals as Libertyville went 4-0 on Saturday at the Elk Grove Tournament, including a 7-3 win over Maine East to win the title. Maria Protic scored 12 goals for the Blue Demons in a second-place performance, while Sandra Kietlinska added 6 scores as Maine East finished 3-1 on Saturday. The shorthanded hosts finished in third with a 2-2 mark, as Christine Juhas totaled 10 goals for the event's third-place finishers. Jessica Dykstra scored 7 times to help Meadows grab a win over Deerfield and end the day in fourth place, while Katherine Rogers scored 12 goals to no avail as the Warriors failed to gain a victory on Saturday.
