Hybinette denies Shaw from 2m to start the game

Maloney's shot from 7m nicks the post and goes out of bounds

Levison's shot from the right side is saved by Hybinette

Clarke with a steal but Hybinette makes a save

Maloney hits the crossbar from outside at the 5:38 mark

Maloney makes a steal at 2m and draws an ejection on Shewchuck

Shaw forces a turnover on the man-up situation for Ignatius

Clarke fires wide left from 5m mark with 4:28 to play in the first quarter

Kennelly's 2m attempt goes wide left and Loyola sets up the offense

Shaw hits the left post but Clarke slams home the rebound to give Loyola a 1-0 lead at the 3:52 mark

Shewchuck makes a steal on Ignatius' next possession; Levison denied by Hybinette on the other end

Shaw scores from 2m and gets Loyola to within one at 10-9

Brankin responds with a goal from the right side near 5m and Ignatius goes up 11-9 with 2:06 left

Levison scores from 7m out with a hard shot that gets past Hybinette with 1:52 to go and the Ignatius lead is cut to 11-10

Almarez makes a steal but Arbuckle comes out of the net to deny Kennelly a chance to put Ignatius ahead by two

Shaw fires wide left from 5m on top with 0:48 left to play; Ignatius takes a timeout with 0:30 left and possession of the ball

Brankin misses off the left post with 0:21 left

State Tournament Blog

The state tournament blog will cover all of the action from Thursday to Saturday from Stevenson High School. Starting with the 4:30pm game between Loyola and St Ignatius, this page will show live play-by-play for the current game in progress. Links will be provided for games that have already been played with play-by-play from all previous games on individual pages.

We have updated to broadband wireless this year, so the site should be updated more frequently than in previous years.
