John Mikuzis scored 9 goals to lead Neuqua Valley to a 19-15 victory over Naperville North.

Chris Corbett scored from two meters out with one second left in the second overtime period as Schaumburg defeated Rolling Meadows 18-17 at the Hoffman Sectional on Wednesday. Corbett totaled 6 goals to lead the Saxons to the victory.

 

Mike Byron scored 5 goals to lead Barrington to a 16-7 victory over Buffalo Grove in the last game of the Hoffman Sectional on Wednesday night.

 

Goalie Robbie Vavrik made 10 saves and added a goal as St Viator advanced to Wednesday's quarterfinals at the Glenbrook North Sectional with a 5-3 win over Hersey on Monday.

GIRLS SECTIONAL FINALS

Mariclaire Bresnahan recorded 9 saves as Fenwick beat St Ignatius 10-4 in the sectional finals.

 

Rachel Cliburn and Amy Michelau each scored 6 goals to lift Stevenson to a 17-5 victory over Mundelein at the Vernon Hills Sectional.

 

Erika Lauraitis scored 4 goals as Fremd knocked off Barrington 10-3 to advance to the state tournament.

 

Meghan Nolan scored 3 goals to lead Mother McAuley to an 8-2 win over Lyons.

 

Rachel Hudgens scored 3 goals for Evanston in a 9-4 victory over Northside on Saturday afternoon.

 

Liz Clarke and Maeve O'Connor both scored 3 goals as Loyola beat New Trier 9-6 at the GBN Sectional.

 

Claire Fleming scored 3 goals as Naperville Central defeated Neuqua Valley 8-5 to advance to the state tournament.

 

GIRLS SEMIFINALS

Morgan Roberts allowed only one goal in three quarters of action as Lincoln-Way East defeated LWC 10-2.

 

Celeste Almarez scored 4 goals to lead Ignatius to a 9-7 comeback win over Oak Park at the Fenwick Sectional.

 

Audrey Reardon scored 7 goals and drew 8 ejections for Oak Park in a 9-7 loss to St Ignatius.

 

Melanie Sulkin scored 3 goals as Stevenson defeated Lake Forest 16-3.

 

Alice Denny scored 3 goals and drew 8 ejections as Mundelein held off Buffalo Grove 7-4 on Friday.
