Michael Matusek scored 4 goals, including 4 scores in the final period as the Warriors outlasted Lake Forest 12-11.

 

(2) Mundelein 17 (7) Deerfield 5

Nick Oleinik recorded 5 goals and Ryan Zentz scored 4 times as the Mustangs beat Deerfield 17-5. Shane Stanley also made 11 saves in the winning effort.

 

(3) Libertyville 9 (6) Buffalo Grove 7

Eric Turner and Scott Villiard scored 3 goals apiece and Jack Otto blocked 9 shots in the Wildcats' 9-7 win over BG. Billy Becker also scored 2 times in the win.

 

Friday, May 12

Semifinals

(1) Stevenson 21 (5) McHenry 2

Andrew Shashin registered 7 scored and Dan Maleski scored 6 times as the Patriots beat McHenry 21-2. Charlie Day and Nik Ebeling combined to make 13 saves and Collin Kapecki scored 3 times in the win.

 

(2) Mundelein 8 (3) Libertyville 4

Nick Oleinik scored 5 goals and Shane Stanley made 16 saves in the Mustangs' 8-4 win over Libertyville.

Finals

(1) Stevenson 19 (2) Mundelein 5

Andrew Shashin recorded 5 goals and both Collin Kapecki and Dan Maleski each scored 4 times as the Patriots defeated Mundelein 19-5. Rahul Arun, Justin Ginsberg and Eric Osuch each added 2 goals while Charlie Day made 5 saves for the winners. Nick Oleinik scored 2 goals and Shane Stanley blocked 10 shots in the loss for the Mustangs.
