Maggie Goodwin scored 8 goals to lead the Mustangs past Hoffman 13-3.
(8) Elk Grove 11 (9) St Viator 2
Alyssa Bonilla scored 5 goals, Hannah Sallenback scored 3 times and
Melena Herrera made 20 saves as the Grenadiers beat St Viator 11-2.
Gillian Guerra also scored 2 goals for the winners.
Wednesday, May 10
Quarterfinals
(1)
Prospect 10 (8) Elk Grove 4
The Knights pulled away from the Grenadiers after a close game early
on to earn a 10-4 victory. Colleen Doyle recorded 5 goals, Emma
Colehour scored 4 times and Mary Clare McAleer made 6 saves in the
win. Abby Farmer, Alyssa Bonilla, Gillian Guerra and Kate Duffy each
scored once and Melena Herrera made 14 saves in the losing effort.

Hersey 8 (5) Schaumburg 5
Andie Dougherty scored 3 goals, both Katie Lindgren and Madison
Burkhalter scored 2 goals and Emily Van Grinsven made 14 saves as
the Huskies earned an 8-5 victory over Schaumburg. Hannah Pearson
scored 2 goals and Magda Jasinska stopped 9 shots in the losing
effort.
(2) Conant 12 (7) Meadows 2
Paulina Chowaniec tallied 3 scores, Lea Cejvan and Olivia Olszewski
scored 2 times and Cam Rosas made 11 saves in the Cougars' 12-2
triumph over Meadows. Maggie Goodwin scored 2 goals and Betsy
Zanocco made 9 saves in the losing effort.
(3) Barrington 8 (6) Fremd 5
Andrea Potgieter scored 5 goals, Nicole Runtz scored 2 goals and
Alyssa Hawe stopped 17 shots as the Fillies outlasted Fremd 8-5.
Emily Kini and Paulina Pappas each scored 2 times in the loss for
the Vikings.
Friday, May 12
Semifinals
(1) Prospect 8 (4) Hersey 5
Colleen Doyle and Emma Colehour each scored 3 goals, Mary Clare McAleer
made 9 saves and Megan Pfeiffer scored the eventual game-winner as the
Knights earned an 8-5 comeback win over Hersey. Gracie Dix also scored
once and drew 4 ejections for the winners. Karolina Niemiec put in 2 scores,
the trio of Andie Dougherty, Katie Lindgren and Meghan Pfeiffer each
scored once while Emily VanGrinsven
made 13 saves in the loss for the Huskies.
(2) Conant 5 (3) Barrington 4
Aly Wooley recorded 3 goals and Cam Rosas made 11 saves as the Cougars
got past Barrington 5-4. Paulina Chowaniec and Nia Tsoulos each added
one score and Olivia Olszewski made 4 steals in the win. Andrea
Potgeiter scored 2 goals in the loss for the Fillies.
