Week 5 Super Ballers

BOYS

Andrew Shashin/Collin Kapecki/Dan Maleski (Stevenson)

Shashin recorded 17 goals and both Kapecki and Maleski put in 13 scores as the Patriots went 5-0 in MO to win the DeSmet Invite. All three players were named to the All-Tournament Team while Shashin was named the Tournament MVP.

The trio also combined to score 8 goals in a midweek win over Libertyville and totaled 4 scores in a 10-0 shutout victory over Warren.

GIRLS

Bella Wrobel/Emma Crnich (Sandburg)

Wrobel totaled 16 goals and Crnich made 27 saves and earned a shutout as the Eagles won the Oak Park Tournament after beating the hosts, Loyola and Whitney Young. Wrobel added 4 scores and Crnich blocked 25 more shots as Sandburg won conference games over Bradley, LWW and Stagg during a 6-0 week.

Claire Haas (Stevenson)

Haas totaled 18 goals and 20 steals to help lead the Patriots to a 4-0 record and the Fenwick Tournament title on Saturday. She also dished out 6 assists and drew 5 penalties as Stevenson earned wins over #1 Naperville Central, #3 Mother McAuley, #5 Lyons and #15 Loyola. She also helped the Patriots stay perfect in 2017 with midweek wins over Libertyville and Warren.
