Week 6 Super Ballers

Mitch Gavars/Kyle Mitchell/John Fischer (Barrington)

Gavars recorded 12 goals while Fischer and Mitchell each scored 8 times as the Broncos went 3-0 on Saturday to win their own event.

Nick Jackson (Sandburg)

Jackson helped the Eagles win their own tournament after wins over Andrew, Prospect, St Rita and STC North. He also blocked 18 shots and allowed just 2 goals in a midweek win over Hinsdale South.

Nolan Vaughn/Kent Emden (Naperville Central)

Vaughn scored 7 times, Reagan scored 5 goals and Emden made 26 saves on Saturday as the Redhawks beat GBS and Naperville North to win the Best of the West Tournament.

GIRLS

Caroline Heathcock/Nicole McCabe (LWC)

McCabe totaled 14 goals and 11 steals and Heathcock put in 7 scores as the Knights went 3-0 to win the Mundelein Tournament on Saturday after beating Fremd, Oak Park and the hosts. McCabe also totaled 5 goals in Tuesday night's win over LWE.

Paige Ruffner/Reis Parkinson/Sarah Jackson (LWE)

Ruffner and Jackson both scored 9 goals while Parkinson scored 7 times and was named Tournament MVP as the Griffins went 4-0 to win the Palatine Tournament over the weekend. East secured wins over Conant, Neuqua Valley, Prospect and STC North at the event.
