Quarterfinals

(8) Hoffman 17 (9) Elk Grove 11

Alex Jessee scored 7 goals and Akash Shah and Tim Prusnick each scored 3 times as Hoffman Estates beat Elk Grove 17-11 to advance to the quarterfinals of the Barrington Sectional on Tuesday afternoon.

Pat Lebuhn scored 5 goals and Dan Vockerath added 3 scores as Rolling Meadows defeated Fremd 10-9.

(2) McHenry 19 (7) Conant 10

(6) Palatine 14 (3) Barrington 11

Brad Ferris scored 5 goals, Sebastian Dorszewski had 4 goals, Chris Mals made 14 steals and goalie Dan Sommerfield recorded 22 saves as Palatine surprised Barrington 14-11. Mike Byron led the Broncos with 5 tallied in the loss.

Friday, May 15

Semifinals

(1) Schaumburg 23 (5) Meadows 10

Aaron Johnson scored 6 goals and Brandon Kase tallied 5 scores as Schaumburg knocked off Rolling Meadows 23-10 in a rematch of the MSL divisional champions. Damian Fitzsimmons tallied 4 scores in the loss for the Mustangs.

(2) McHenry 15 (6) Palatine 10

Reilly Shanahan scored 7 times and Jon Lesniak and Phil Lesniak both totaled 4 goals as McHenry beat Palatine 15-10. Brad Ferris tallied 4 scores and Chris Mals added 3 scores and 5 steals in the loss for the Pirates.

Saturday, May 16

Finals

(2) McHenry 12 (1) Schaumburg 11

Graham Olsen recorded 4 goals to lead McHenry to a 12-11 victory over Schaumburg to advance to the state tournament next weekend. Anthony Darovec scored 4 times in the loss for the Saxons.
