Quarterfinals
(1) Fenwick 16 (8) Resurrection 2
Clare Durkin recorded 4 goals and Bridget Carey scored 2 times as Fenwick
defeated Resurrection 16-2. Celeste Castillo and Trisha Duarte each netted
one goal apiece in the final period for the Bandits.
(4) York 15 (5) Morton 7
Grace Achepohl and Perri Brinkmeier both registered 4 goals and Lauren Tamm
notched 3 scores as the Dukes downed Morton 15-7. Carly York, Grace Feilen,
Kathleen O'Brien, and Kirsten Rasnic each added one goal in the win for
York. Steph Torres scored 3 times and Natalie Pantaleon added 2 goals in the
loss for the Mustangs.
(2) Oak Park 14 (7) Taft 0
Katie Appell and Mia Andreoli each scored 3 goals and Jordin Hale made 6
saves and earned a shutout as OPRF defeated Taft 14-0. Anna Vogel, Jilly
Cronin, and Kevan Casson each tallied 2 scores and both Hannah Smith and
Maura Dahl tacked on one score apiece in the win for the Huskies.
(3) Lyons vs (6) R-B
Emma Hirt scored 5 times, Allie Kurth tallied 3 scores, and Jessie
Wittenberg and Maddie Janik combined to make 9 saves in the Lions' 16-3
triumph over R-B. Frankie Delleman and Julia Cohen each recorded 2 goals and
Erin Yang chipped in with 4 assists in the win. Almasa Duheric, Annika
Moore, Haley Hughes, and Sara McTigue rounded out the scoring for the Lions
with one goal each.
Friday, May 16
Semifinals
(1) Fenwick 13 (4) York 4
Catie Wallace and Colleen Barron combined to score 5 goals to lead the
Friars to a 13-4 win over York. Grace Achepohl tallied 2 scores and both
Lauren Tamm and Perri Brinkmeier scored once in the loss for the Dukes.
(3) Lyons 7 (2) Oak Park 6
Frankie Delleman scored the game-winning goal with :51 left in regulation
and the Lions defense stopped the Huskies final chance to earn a 7-6 victory
over their rivals on Friday night. Delleman and Julia Cohen both scored 2
goals while Allie Kurth, Caroline Walsh, and Haley Hughes each scored once
for the Lions' offense. Delleman also chipped in with 3 assists and goalie
Jessie Wittenberg made 10 saves for LT. Jilly Cronin and Genevieve Curry
each scored 2 goals, Katie Appell drew 4 ejections, and Jordin Hale made 6
saves in the loss for the Huskies. Maura Dahl and Maddie Wolfe each tallied
one score as well for OPRF.
