St Patrick 8 DeLaSalle 7

The Shamrocks improved to 2-0 in the Catholic League after edging DeLaSalle 8-7 on Wednesday.

 

Hoffman 20 Meadows 4

Adam Pasnicki poured in 9 goals and Sang W. Han added 5 scores in Hoffman's 20-4 win over Meadows. Logan Gizel added 3 scores and Luke Iehl added 2 goals in the win for the Hawks while goalie Jacob Pasaye made 7 saves in his first game in the net.

 

Lake Forest 20 Barrington 10

John Baker totaled 6 goals and 3 assists and Jake Gloor contributed 5 goals in the Scouts' 20-10 triumph over Barrington in a nonconference tilt on Wednesday.

 

Lake View 10 Taft 8

Greg Johnson scored 8 goals as Lake View held off Taft 10-8 in the CPS season-opener for both teams.

 

Morgan Park 13 Chicago Ag 11

Jackie Dempsey scored 5 goals and Marcellus Freeman nicked 4 scores in Morgan Park's 13-11 victory over Chicago Ag. Allen Gomez scored 7 times in the loss for the Cornhuskers.

 

St Ignatius 13 Northside 7

John Reyes tallied 6 goals, Shane Hughes added 4 scores, and Tym Zymon made 6 saves in SICP's 13-7 victory over Northside on Wednesday.

Mother McAuley 8 Lyons 4

Clare Bryar recorded 4 goals, Amy Kopale added 2 scores, and Kristen Kleist and Vicky Arciniega each notched one score in Mother McAuley's 8-4 victory over Lyons. Blair Hopwood led the Lions with 2 scores in the loss.

 

Bremen 22 Bradley 11

Hannah Schultz poured in 11 goals and added 8 steals to lead Bremen to a 22-11 victory over Bradley. Daisy Lozano scored 5 times, Jacky Zuniga came up with 8 steals, and goalie Melissa Barrios blocked 10 shots in the Red Jaguars' win.

 

Homewood-Flossmoor 9 Richards 5

Annie Schloen scored 2 goals to help H-F edge Richards 9-5 on Wednesday in a tight nonconference game on Wednesday. The Vikings' 4-1 run in the fourth quarter helped them pull away from a Bulldogs' team that trailed by just one goal entering the final period.

 

Lake View 11 Taft 8

Baylee Cabrera totaled 6 goals in Lake View's 11-8 triumph over Taft on Wednesday night.

 

Maine East 11 Conant 9

Maria Protic scored 5 goals and Eliza Mazgaj and Medina Husejnovic each added 2 scores to help Maine East hold off Conant 11-9 on Wednesday night. Carmen Rosas scored 4 goals and Angie Skittone and Sarah Vatinno both scored 2 times in the loss for the Cougars. Maddy Demaret also blocked 14 shots in the loss for Conant.

 

Maine South 19 Palatine 8

Iza Matczuk scored 7 goals and Giles Malloy put in 4 scores in Maine West's 19-8 win over the Pirates in nonconference play on Wednesday. Rachel Chumbook totaled 7 goals and Tess O'Brien blocked 9 shots in the loss for Palatine.

 

Naperville Central 14 Marian 0

Kristina Altuve scored 4 times, Madison Nervig added 3 goals, and both Erin Reagan and Jenny Doyle put in 2 goals in the Redhawks' 14-0 shutout of Marian Catholic on Wednesday evening. Jessica Fox stopped 16 shots and recorded a shutout in her first varsity start for NC. Genna Helsel made 15 saves in the loss for the Spartans.

 

St Ignatius 21 Northside 3

Olivia Evangelides scored 4 times and Theresa Cariola added 3 scores in the Wolfpack's 21-3 victory over Northside on Wednesday.

 

Stevenson 21 Latin 0

Bridget Wynn and Melissa Gartenberg each scored 3 times and Alex Kanaris totaled 4 assists and 4 steals in the Patriots' 21-0 shutout win over Latin.
