Michael Considine racked up 6 goals and the trio of Chris Jovanovich, Kevin Manna and Matt Merucci each scored 4 times as Loyola defeated St Rita 24-1 in the Catholic League season opener for both teams.

Jones-Payton 15 Latin 8

Will Macellaio totaled 5 goals and Steven Fitzgerald scored 4 times as the Eagles defeated Latin 15-8 in a nonconference contest. Nicolas Teodosescu also scored 3 goals in the winning effort. Sam Orlin netted 3 scores and Lucas Barbosa put in 2 goals in the loss for the Romans.

 

Morgan Park 27 Chicago Ag 15

Christian Cooper recorded 14 goals and Mike Crawley tallied 6 goals as Morgan Park earned a 27-15 win over Chicago Ag on Monday night.

 

STC East 15 Meadows 4

Andrew Roberge poured in 7 goals and Ethan Braham notched 4 scores as the Saints beat Meadows 15-4 on Monday night. Jack Sweeney added 2 goals while the trio of Charlie Young, Ryder Stout and Tanner Schisler each scored once for the winners. Ethan Masters, Greg Svoboda, Quinn Fitzsimons and Theo Grant each scored once in the loss for the Mustangs.

Mother McAuley 14 Marian 1

Becky Schofield, Chloe Ryan, Greta McDermott and Paulina Correa each scored 2 goals as the Mighty Macs beat Marian 14-1. Jillian Mueller, Julie Olivares, Kate Fischer, MaryGrace Golon, Maggie Hennigan and Molly O'Connell each scored once and Geena Peyton made 5 saves in the win for the hosts.

Conant 25 Maine East 9

Sam Wooley scored 8 goals and Paulina Chowaniec totaled 7 scores and 7 steals in the Cougars' 25-9 victory over Maine East. Amy Rodriguez netted 4 goals, both Aly Wooley and Hannah Lukas scored 2 times, while goaltender Cam Rosas made 6 saves and dished out 5 assists for the victors. Karolina Maniewski totaled 6 goals and Rachel Koshy tallied 2 scores in the loss for the Blue Demons.

 

DLS 14 St Viator 5

The Meteors went on the road to earn a 14-5 victory over St Viator in a Catholic League contest. Stats hopefully coming soon. The Lions, who returned to action after a one-year hiatus, were led by Julie Warren (3 goals) and both Zoe Green and Megan Drake (1 goal each) on the offensive end.

 

Hinsdale Central 11 Morton 7

Zoe Relias scored 4 times and Mary Kress notched 3 scores in the Red Devils' 11-7 triumph over Morton.

 

Jones-Payton 12 Latin 4

Lindsay Opie scored 6 goals and Grace Kelly netted 4 scores as the Lady Eagles topped Latin 12-4. Alina Hillery did not allow a goal for the first three quarters as well for the victors. Maat Bates scored 2 times in the losing effort.

 

Metea Valley 15 Hinsdale South 4

Abby Smedley, Allie Ruden, Gabby DuVal, Lilly Dickson and Pricila Olivas each scored 2 times and goalie Jocelyn Lent blocked 11 shots as the Mustangs beat Hinsdale South 15-4. Alex Cerra, Emily Garza, Lauren Dietz and Rachel Carlin each added one goal in the winning effort. Emily Adams registered 2 goals and both Ava Stukas and Jessica Ostrowska tallied one goal each in the loss.

 

Northside 14 Amundsen 4

Heather Walker scored 4 goals, Rebekah Kissel netted 3 scores and Fallon Konow blocked 6 shots as the Mustangs beat Amundsen 14-4 on Monday night. Erica Lovera, Melissa Arreola, Michelle Hua and Selma Karastanovic each tallied one score in the loss for the Vikings.

 

STC North 10 Schaumburg 6

Emmy Feddor recorded 4 goals, Brittany Veto totaled 3 scores and 10 steals and Claire Rich stopped 7 shots as the North Stars started their season with a 10-6 victory over Schaumburg. Sarah Gibson put in 2 goals, Hannah Springer scored once and Katie Steele recorded 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners.
