GAME PREVIEWS (Monday, March 10)

MATCH OF THE DAY

5:30pm - #6 Loyola at #1 Fenwick

The Friars begin their state title defense against a Ramblers' team that beat them in the Catholic League finals in their last meeting. Both squads have some new faces in the starting lineup, but neither team can afford to "work out the kinks" if they want to start their respective seasons off with a key conference win.

KEEP AN EYE ON

5:00pm - #32 Andrew at #22 Stagg

Both the T-Bolts and Chargers are on the rise as both teams return the majority of their starting lineups from the previous season; expect fireworks from the former divisional rivals, who now find themselves on opposite sides of the SouthWest Suburban Conference.

OTHER KEY GAMES

6:00pm - #3 St Ignatius at #27 St Viator

6:00pm - #34 St Rita at #23 St Patrick

GAME PREVIEWS (Monday, March 10)

MATCH OF THE DAY

6:30pm - #6 Loyola at #2 Fenwick

Two teams hungry to contend for a state championship begin their MCAC slate with a tough opening night matchup in Oak Park. The Friars won the previous meeting to claim third place in the Catholic League tournament last May, while both squads fell just one goal short of advancing to the state semifinals in the 2013 state tournament.

KEEP AN EYE ON

6:00pm - #25 Conant at #21 Maine East

The Cougars and Blue Demons are both optimistic about their chances in 2014, so this nonconference affair could be the bright start the victorious team needs to build some crucial early-season momentum.

OTHER KEY GAMES

6:00pm - #14 STC North at #46 Schaumburg

6:00pm - St Viator at #1 St Ignatius
