Saturday's Game Recaps

Jones-Payton 10 Ogden 0

Alina Hilery and Rebecca Sudworth each scored 2 goals to help the Eagles beat Ogden 10-0 on Saturday.

 

Whitney Young 11 Deerfield 2

Audrey Anderson and Fairie Hughes both registered 3 scores to help the Dolphins get past Deerfield 11-2. Naomi Willis and Sarah Kulik each scored one goal in the losing effort.

 

Niles West 16 Ogden 5

Lauren Patt scored 6 goals to help Niles West beat Ogden 16-5 on Saturday. Brianna Jones led Ogden with 2 scores in the loss.

 

Taft 13 Deerfield 10

Caroline Hoffman recorded 5 goals to help Taft get past Deerfield 13-10. Naomi Willis notched 3 scores in the loss for the Warriors.

 

Jones-Payton 14 Niles West 5

Rebecca Sudworth poured in 9 goals and Isabella Yeung netted 3 scores as the Eagles topped Niles West 14-5. Alina Hillery also totaled 8 saves and 2 steals in goal for the victors. Lauren Patt led the Wolves with 4 goals in the loss.

 

Whitney Young 18 Taft 3

Andrea Zelen, Jessica Beal, Melanie Balanon, and Tori Young each scored 3 times as the Dolphins topped Taft 18-3 to advance to the tournament title game.

 

Deerfield 20 Ogden 7 (5th place)

Naomi Willis tallied 6 goals and Becca Rosenberg put in 4 scores as the Warriors beat Ogden 20-7 to lay claim to fifth place at the Jones-Payton Tournament on Saturday. Samantha Whippen recorded 4 goals in the loss for Ogden.

 

Niles West 6 Taft 4 (3rd place)

Lauren Patt racked up 5 goals in the Wolves' 6-4 victory over Taft to help the team earn a third-place finish in their first-ever tournament appearance. Celeste Castillo put in 3 goals in the loss for the Eagles.

 

Whitney Young 13 Jones-Payton 5 (1st place)

Gabby Chelette scored 5 goals, Fairie Hughes chipped in with 3 scores, and Kennedy Baldwin recorded 2 goals as Whitney Young won the Jones-Payton Tournament by beating the hosts 13-5 in the title game of the event. Audrey Anderson, Tori Young, and Melanie Balanon each added one score in the win for the Dolphins. Rebecca Sudworth led the hosts with 3 scores in the losing effort.
